Not only will you end up paying more for any and all fees + costs, but they'll really try to rip you a new one. I had the same violation as a local friend around the same time. She ended up paying about 3000 less than I did and was offered way better options. Here's the kicker, I have no record, she had a list of violations and arrests. Like I said, go elsewhere if you can. You'll end up paying for many years if you don't.
