It was new, clean broken up Styrofoam packaging in a new, clean bag that wouldn't fit in the bin because it was bulky. We had purchased a new TV. I didn't want to place it on top because it was raining out and the top would not have closed all the way. It was still on the curb the next morning so I called to inquire as to why it was not picked up. I was told it was a safety protocol due to COVID! The drivers do not leave their trucks nor do they touch anything. Wow was all I could say. I was told I should have called in advance to let them know. I didn't call because I put my trash out after hours the night before. It is recommended to be out by 6am but my driver comes anywhere between 4:30-6:00 am. I was told I could be outside when the driver arrives, let him dump my container, then put the bag into the container so he can dump again! Seriously! Yes, I will stand outside at 4:30am in the morning to do that! Crazy! Times sure have changed. There are times I don't even bother to put out my recycle bin because I don't have much. Many times I have hardly any trash. I still pay the same amount so I feel like one extra bag, very occasionally shouldn't be a problem. But apparently it is. They did raise their prices a few months ago as well due to the rise in costs. So when the cost of fuel goes down, I'm sure they will lower the price to reflect that, right?
