Told the optromitist that vision express left me without sight glasses for 5 months the optromitist said that's a total disgrace. Now having to see low vision assessment team at Sunderland eye infirmary. As informed by the optromitist in Sunderland eye infirmary I have cataracts that's not treatable. Went to an independent optician and told going blind in both eyes. Bad Ryde staff and maner on phone at vision express. Lab does lenses wrong and all the staff back them up. Cheap glasses that are not to fit your face. Lost out in a holiday with my partner if £2000 because of vision express mucking me around.

The branch is small compared to the other branches it has in the north east, they offer eye tests both private and to NHS patients. The range of glasses they have in are ok but the prices of the lenses and frames for decent type of frame is far to expensive in my view. The price you pay for one pair of glasses from there you can get 2 pairs of the same lenses and similar frames from elsewhere. Again the staff try the hard sale push on you and try not to give you your prescription if u need glasses stopping u from going elsewhere to get them.

The practice is clean, comfortable and relaxing and the service, from booking an appointment to walking out is superb. Very friendly, they all put you at ease. They have good opening hours for convenience and if I needed an appointment urgently, I have always been seen, even without an appointment. They have a fantastic range of spectacles to choose from and give good, honest advice on which type suit you. I also get contact lenses from them and although they always give me free trial pairs of the latest lenses, I never feel under pressure to spend more if I don't need to. Despite being a huge Apple fan, I did like the new S8+ model, and liked how they made the demo model easier to see the key features such as a rather innovative and niche iris scanner. The staff around the store, of course, seemed friendly, and of course, the overall vibe was good, they also seemed to be a satisfactory yet not excellent selection of accessories, however the accessories selection as a whole, didn't compare to the selection, choice and quantity which one would find in an Apple Store. For the Samsung brand, this store is impressive, but overall it is just a very good store, and despite some flaws such as the overall building not standing out in terms of being modern, like most of the tech here, and other factors, perhaps a slight lack of information on some factors and not a range of accessories of which I'd call fantastic, I feel this store isn't perfect yet still has done enough to earn a four-star rating.

She has always been ever so good at putting my children at ease when waiting in the waiting area. There is a good range of glasses - although I accept not the range you may find in a large optical superstore in a large shopping centre. However the range is very fair and appears to include lots of modern styles. The same can be said for thier range fo contact lenses. Obviously they don't hold the range of the optical superstores but they do have a good range including coloured lenses, dily and monthly lenses. Service we have received from the opticians themselves has always been first class. Again I must say that in realtion to my children they are second to none. I always worry when taking young children for this kind of eaxmination in case they can see but for whatever reason actually say the wrong thing. Alst time I went I ended up with the impression that in addition to being an optician he was also a child psychologist as he was able to tell when my child had just had enough and had started saying anything because she was bored. Thankfully he didn't write out a prescription for glasses, instead he tried different testing techniques until he had the true picture. Very understanding, approachable and knowledgable. I called in here early in the morning, an hour before my Genius appointment and was greeted by a rather friendly Apple Store employee, he told me that I was unlikely to be seen earlier even though it was 9:30am on a Saturday morning with few people in sight, but he went on to tell me my problem could be fixed without an appointment. After showing him my receipt, my apple charging cable was replaced quite quickly and I was in and out of the store, having replaced my faulty product and got an email confirmation within 5 minutes which I was rather pleased with. The Apple store is a decent size, around the same size as the nearby Metrocentre branch, it of course was a typical Apple store in terms of decor, showcasing most of Apple's flagship products including the Apple Mac and Iphone 7. Overall, the service from this branch was very good and quick, I even began chatting to my advisor about Hilton hotels, in which I was staying at and even he was visiting the same evening, due to what has been discussed I feel this branch deserves a four star rating. Something to look at for the future would perhaps be to increase the availability of appointments at peak times and invest in more of a system if you are to visit the Genius Bar, and maybe increase the size of the store, albeit without risking the service.
