DO NOT GET SERVICE HERE! The current Manger Joe does not have any idea what he's doing a new one will be there in April hut even then I'd be weary. After four different activation's one that I was charged up front for, all of them failed after being explained that the phone could be shipped to an address service on file, then they tried straight to the store and none of them worked. When speaking with customer service they constantly said it was approved and en route which ended up taking a 2 week toll on my work phone. The explanations with this company are ridiculous. The only other resolve they had was to buy one at an electronic retailer at which point it made more sense to change services. After buying another phone (a downgrade just to have something to use) I STILL had service issues and had to call customer service to get the network fixed multiple times. Insane. read more

After switching to Spectrum, we were supposed to receive a $1,500 rebate card. We did get the card, but it doesn't work. I have spent months calling back and forth, trying to get this issue resolved, but all I get is the runaround. Spectrum blames the card company, and the card company blames Spectrum--no one takes responsibility, and no one provides a solution. Each time I call, I'm given vague answers or told to wait. I've asked for a new card, but they won't issue one. After months of dealing with this, I'm extremely disappointed and feel completely let down by both Spectrum and the rebate card company. This is a notice to all spectrum internet service technicians near the Dallas area. I'm going to have your head once I find out which person came to my parents home to do a service call for an internet outage that lasted an entire 24 hours. Also, this service technician told my dad that the device I installed was "outdated" and they don't use it anymore. The device is called a MOCA POE filter. The tech said that it was blocking the signal when I had it running for at least a week straight with zero interference. He detaches the filter and tells my dad that we don't need the filter and that it belongs to spectrum...okay smart mf if it's so outdated and worthless to you or spectrum why the fuck did you take it from my home you dirty bastard. You did not pay for it and neither did spectrum. All you had to do was detach it and leave it on the counter and say I would not recommend using this because it interferes with the overall signal. But no, this dirty pos stupid punk mf takes something that he nor his company purchased. That's theft you bastard. I promise I'm gonna find you fuckers out and make sure this shit gets handled properly. Fuck that tech, fuck spectrum and everything in between with that stupid fucking company. After a modem failure neither this location or the garland location has a modem to replace mine.. seems pretty ridiculous for something this common to not be available! Spectrum, read your reviews! Don"t you see a common theme about terrible customer service? I have a friend who lives on SSI as she is elderly and disabled. Her TV service, provided by Spectrum, is her primary source of entertainment and company. She does NOT have a computer, and she does NOT have a smart phone. So each month, she gives me cash to pay her Spectrum bill. Spectrum, it seems to me that you would make collecting payments the easiest thing in the world. You want people's money, after all, But NO, it is very difficult! This month, as usual, I brought in her cash to pay her bill. The machine that accepts checks is STILL DOWN after months. I normally keep her cash and write a check on my account to pay her bill. But not this month. The machine was down again. One of the employees hollered across the room to me "Are you here to pay your bill? Then do it on line." I said "I have cash," and they said "Oh we can't take cash. Please pay on line." There are like 6 customers in the store listening to this. I said ""The person doesn't have an on line account." "Oh", they hollered back, "then come back in 2 hours and there should be someone who can take the cash then." So I left. I came back the following Monday, and this time they said they couldn't take a check, and to pay on line. Again, a store full of waiting customers all listening to this. I said "The person doesn't have an online account," so they hollered "Call the number on the bill and they will help you." So I called the number that was on the bill, and guess what, it is an automated system and they want the account sign-in. After 10 minutes of trying to pay the bill without involving my account, I somehow accidentally got the bill paid. I DREAD having to go to the Spectrum store in Garland next month to repeat this whole circus. But this also does explain why I have experienced people actually yelling at the employees (if you can find one) in this store. Wake up Spectrum! Make it easy for people to pay!! Remember there are poor elderly and disabled people who rely on you for their TV service, but they do not have online access. So figure out a way to accept their payments in cash or check IN PERSON. Are your employees so untrustworthy that they are not "allowed" to accept cash or check? Considering there are other TV providers, why don't you at least try and provide a minimum level of customer service? read more

Had Spectrum for two years. To be fair, prior to two months ago, I have not had any problems with Spectrum and it was working great. However, over the last two months, Spectrum has gone down numerous times. More irritating though is the intermittent internet signals that we get with Spectrum all of the sudden. We had a technician come out and he insists that there were nothing wrong with the signal and all he did was switch out the modem and router. Long story short, the intermittent signals are still here and more frequent. If any of you who reads this and have same intermittent signal problems with spectrum, please respond here. I would like to know if it's a spectrum wide issue or not. Just switched to Frontier and it's so nice to not have intermittent signal problems any more. read more

Let me begin by saying that I am convinced that the majority of they're employees don't have a clue about communications or what their doing. This being said, I've had 3 different technicians and supervisor come over to try and figure out what was wrong with my internet. I went as far as boosting my service to 400 and even then it still wasn't working so I did some digging and here's what I found. Spectrum offers their own router which they say is "one of the best", bs. The router they give you, and charge you monthly for, is complete garbage. It is legitimately one of the worst you can get. I recommend to everyone having internet issues to look in to buying a netgear router from best buy and you will without a doubt have no more connectivity issues. This was only the tip of the iceberg with all the issues I had, but this is something everyone should know. read more

They always have outages in our area and most of the times it takes hours and hours to fix it. There were even takes days. We got family members working from home and a couple of students, These interruptions are very very inconvenient. And all they ask is forgiveness. Terrible service from a terrible company. Had them for over a year. Have recently (last few months) had intermittent connectivity issues where my internet will just stop working. Troubleshooting done on router and modem indicated it was a signal issue through the cable, not a hardware issue on my end. Technician confirmed this during site visit, stating the signal from the main box in the neighborhood was terrible. He informed me the issue would not be resolved for 24-72 hours. After 72 hours, the problem still exists. Contacted the Spectrum customer service number and spoke to a person named Dale. Terrible customer service. Tried to convince me the internet was working fine since the modem was receiving a signal, stating "I've been doing this for 10 years..." I'm now waiting on hold with a supervisor to cancel my service. read more

Buyer beware! Spectrum has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and this location was no exception. We have three service addresses with them and they have no possible way to merge them because accounts are based on the service address. We recently sold a property so we are canceling service at that address. We had issues with the WiFi router at the new house and they told us we could switch out the router and then turn in the one at the new property with no issue. I just went to the store to do that exact thing. Tee, the customer service rep at the location said that was not possible and that I would have to call customer service. Yes you read that correct, the person standing in front of me who was the customer service rep at the location told me she could not help me and told me I would have to call spectrum customer service. I then asked for a manager, to which Tee tells me this location has no manager. I am not on hold with customer service for an estimated 25-40 minutes to resolve an issue that could have taken 10 min in person should Tee had enough knowledge to handle the situation herself. She was absolutely rude and as soon as I can find service to use as a replacement of our other two accounts I will definitely be switching. I don't suggest anyone get Spectrum for any type of service if they actually want any type of help should they experience any issues, which I promise you will experience an issue at some point. read more
