Not happy with them. They came to transfer service for ne and left early after only doing 2 boxes. They were supposed to come back today between 2 and 4 to complete their task. I had my dogs outside to accommodate but let them back in at 4 being that nobody came by or contacted me. At 4:10 the guy came over and I told him to give me a couple minutes to put the dogs back out. He went to his truck and left. Can't wait to get another provider and cancel Spectrum read more

Spectrum is the worst Service I have ever seen. They came knocking at my door selling their Service. Talked me into a bundle with new cell phone. ( I had a five, they advanced me to a seven. ) I was advised not to set up phone until I was hooked up to Spectrum. Their Installer refused to hook me up cause he had to go over my pool. Assuming the phone would become mine for joining - I opened the package. Since the installer cancelled, I had to return the phone. Because I opened the cellophane package - they charged me a $50.00 replacement charge + a $10.00 extra charge. They rip elderly people off. I have to say sorry - I rec'd a call saying they are refunding my money totally - we shall see. read more

This made me late to the equipment pick up equipment so they cancelled my appointment and made me wait as a walk in. I have spectrum at another property and it turns off at random times while I am working. Spectrum is terrible and you should look for another provider. read more

I went in to sign up for internet service and whatever his name was asked me several times "do you only want internet service". As to which I replied "yes" because we only use Netflix etc. When we were finished I got the cable modem and wifi router, no TV box. Despite that my first bill arrives with internet & TV services... So be very careful to look exactly what they are charging for! At least their customer service had no problems removing it, they back dated it so I wouldn't pay for it at all. Spectrum, their service should be considered a crime "STEALING!'' People need to be warned, internet always down (85%). When you call them they keep trying to collect on incorrect bills. Some of the female agents are very rude and hang up in your face. Then later in the day, after you still have not spoken with anyone, you receive a call from a recording wanting to know how professional they're agent was! hahaha! I have been a loyal customer with Spectrum for over 6 years since i moved back to Southern California. However, their bail ends operations could not make me more mad. They bring you in at a great deal, don't notify you that the intro rate is falling off, charge you twice the price and then when you call to work out a better offer they promise great offers to only try to switch things up after you've been with a rep on the phone for 73 minutes, 73 MINUTES! This company is incompetent. I wanted to move my landline phone number to a landline at another property and was told Spectrum couldn't do that. They sold me a mobile plan and device and said I could transfer to the mobile instead. When I called to activate they said they had already discontinued my landline making it impossible to port it to the mobile. They lost my number of over 25 years. Also, even though they disconnected my service right away, I was charged for the full month because they claim they not prorate for unused services. So I was charged for a service I didn't receive and for the loss of my number. read more

The last thing I wanted to do on a Sunday afternoon was wait for an hour to be served. But the angels were looking over l me. I was actually waiting 1/2 hour before the store opened but decided to wait at Target. When I returned two wonen were already waiting and it was 10 minutes before opening time. When the doors opened I was told to go to the counter for assistance. The nice clerk exchanged my remotes and I was out of the store in less than two minutes. It was great. I came in to return an equipment and I asked her a simple question to make sure I wouldn't get charged for anything later and she FROWNED at me as if I was wasting her precious time! Within minutes he explained my situation, and he quickly resolved my problem without hesitation. We were elated to see that our problem was  resolved by the great effort by this employee. Unfortunately in Huntington Beach, Spectrum essentially has a monopoly on high speed, semi-reliable Internet service especially where I'm located. Because it's shared cable service, actual performance fluctuates depending on time of day, users online, TV users, etc. TV performance suffers because of this shared bandwidth with dropouts and pixelation. System level reboots, unannounced software downloads ... Be aware. Spectrum bills on monthly basis. No proration. If you cancel on the first day of your new billing cycle, you're on the hook for the whole month. Not just the one day! No statement or notice of this policy. I hate Spectrum. read more

This place is brutal. Take a number and wait 45 minutes while 2 employees try to service people. Managers pop out of the back and do absolutely nothing. They should be fired. Store employees work hard. Managers you suck and should actually work instead of hiding in the back and thinking you are a Premodona. You managers work for Spectrum. That's not cool. I needed to pay my bills but the kiosk is always broken and there are little no to employees there helping customers. I had to wait there for 45 mins and the waiting list didn't even move. These people make Trump look honest. When I signed up I was assured that my bill would in the high $80 range; the first bill was $111. Earlier this week I dropped cable and phone, and was told that my remaining ISP service would be 200 Mbps. It is still at 100. I called and they offered to increase the speed for an extra $20/month. Can I give less than 1 star ? They do not even deserve 1 star. I finally closed my service, a customer for 38 years.. My wife told me that it now costs too much. $275. a month !! I had no idea since she pays the bills. I took my equipment to the office on Beach Blvd. today.. Checked in and was 10 on the list.. waited almost an hour to turn in equipment and close my service. There are 7 work stations and only 3 are manned. Then the spectrum employees (one of three) just walks off and disappears, then another one walks off and disappears.. while the room is filled up with WAITING customers.. This is the worst run business i have seen. I guess a business can do this if they have a federal imposed monopoly. I think the streaming services are going to put a big dent in their business. So I get home Friday and turn on the TV and I see a weird message that I've never seen and the picture goes out. WTF it can't be my freaking TV I just got it in January. It must be the cable box. So I give TWC a call and they try to talk me through some steps and nothing works. They actually blame the problem on the TV. Ok fine so I call Samsung and give them the same info and they couldn't get it fixed and blame the cable company. Fine whatever I'm going in to get a new cable box the next day. It suxs cuz now im losing all the shows I had recorded, so bushi! Anyhow I get in first thing in the morning and some dude is going off on the manager there. Wow what a crappy way to start your morning. I on the other had gave them a one liner that the box went out on me. He took it back got me another one and my whole entire transaction took little over 5min. I so totally good with that! read more

Because we live in Fountain Valley we have been forced to deal with this company for far too long. In the past 5 years I have learned more about how to reset a modem than I ever cared to learn. During that time I have instructed onsite techs how to REMOVE BLACK CABLE that took them HOURS to install on the exterior walls of my white house long after nightfall. In other words I didn't realize their 'craftsmanship' until the next day when the sun came up. I have learned that each tech that shows up knows "so much more' than their predecessor. Before moving to FV I lived in Cerritos for 25+ years and had Verizon. All cable was underground. I NEVER knew the meaning of a "modem" or where to find one and I certainly never had to invite their techs to my family BBQ's. On Friday, Sept. 2nd, my mother passed away. Today is Monday, September 5th. Today my phone has gone out more times than I can count while speaking to my family in Ireland and other family members. After "resetting the modem at least 5 or 6 times" I finally learned I could reset my phone by throwing it against the wall. I'm not kidding. After being disconnected for the LAST time, with my cousin in Ireland, I finally threw the phone against the wall and got dial tone. I am not only working on a memorial card with my cousins online but also trying to speak with family members and friends concerning my mother's funeral services this coming Thursday. I called TW twice, on my cell phone, and explained my extenuating circumstances, crying more to people I don't know than I cared too. The first rep could give me "their soonest appointment" on Wednesday and the second rep, who was a bit more compassionate told me the same "but I would be put on a cancellation list." That's when I threw my phone against the wall and got dial tone for a minute. My mother will be buried on Thursday. Time Warner will be buried on Friday. read more

Does anyone else majorly frustrated and upset with Spectrum customer service and billing as I am? If I could give negative stars, I would give as many as I can! Does anybody like their internet or cable TV company or recommend someone better than Spectrum? Btw-I just filed a complaint with FCC who regulates and governs them at 888-225-5322 and the lady was very nice and said they might be able to get me some resolution! I'm so sick of them raising my bill and sneaking in hidden charges and all the sudden my bill is double what it should be or more! You go to cancel and they tell you, 'oh well you just missed your date so we're not going to prorate anything we're just going to charge you for the whole next month, too and you have to call exactly on the 'right date' and if you miss it or can't get a hold of them because it takes so flipping long and they transfer you right and left you're going to pay for another month plus late charges! Does anybody know how to fight these people? I think we should get a class action suit against Spectrum and all cable companies who do this to their loyal customers who pay month after month they're exorbitant prices and they don't care how they treat us they just jerk everybody around! They're absolutely horrible and they rip us off right and left and they get away with it right and left! I feel so sorry for their employees because they must take a ton of abuse because they do this to their customers and their employees have to take the brunt of it. I can't imagine working for a company who treats their customers like this they must treat their staff the same way or worse! It's totally wrong and upsets everybody and they would rather pay employees uphold these horrible, unjust policies rather than just leave our bill as is so we wouldn't have to call and cancel all the time. That is such a I won't say the word... 'bad' way to run a business! Everybody I've talked to can't stand them and they go through the same thing when their bill starts going up mysteriously even though they aren't getting any added services and then it's so hard to cancel with them! I'm sick of being abused by them. Obviously, I don't want their cable TV anymore and I'm trying to 'fire' them but again they make it so difficult and you can't set up a date ahead of time to cancel you have to call right on 'the day' where your month ends and I've just had several busy months where that hasn't been possible. ZERO STARS! (it forces you to at least choose one star, but they don't even deserve that one) I have been a TWC subscriber for almost 5 years, mainly because no other service was available in my area. (I thought monopolies were illegal??) After 4 years in the same apartment we finally have moved and we were able to get DirecTV, however due to NOT EVEN ONE other service availability in my new area I'm still FORCED to use TWC for internet purposes. During my subscription period I felt like I was on the phone with them at least every other month about my bill. Either it was incorrect, they were charging me for things we did not purchase or I was just simply outraged with how unbelievably high my bill was. In an effort to lower my bill they told me I could subscribe to their home phone service and because of the bundle my bill would actually go down. So we did, but they never sent the modem to our house, so we never hooked it up (not that we would have. we both use cell phones for primary phones.) When we moved, the guy that came to transfer our service asked about this nonexistent modem. I told him we never received it and never hooked anything up. We just wanted the lower bill. So he installed a new one. Last week when TWC had the gaul to discontinue service with CBS and Showtime because "they wanted an outrageous amount of money to keep the services" I canceled everything and switched to DirecTV. I took in the 3 cable boxes and the ONE modem we had. (the ONLY one we've ever had) (btw...I paid an outrageous amount of money for TWC services....$220/month so where the hell do they get off????) NOW they are saying we still have this modem and that they will not disconnect the phone service until it is returned....which means they will still be charging us for a service we do not use, want, or need. Furthermore, if we do not bring the modem back the only other way to discontinue the service is to pay for this modem we've never had.....$150. F**K TIME WARNER! read more

Spectrum Mobile sent me two phones, I called and tried to send them back. But no one at there 1 800 number could help with out my credit card. finally called new business line and the manager said to take them to a local store and they would take them, no they would not take them either. They have one of the worst customer service departments that I have ever dealt with.
