This is by far the worse cable TV I have ever experienced. I switched to Time Warner about 2 1/2 years ago because I wanted the Dodgers channel. As soon as they switched it over to Charter it sucked big time. Yes that's the crappy company to the north of LA. Remember Auto Nation , one of the biggest rip offs in the auto industry about twenty years ago.They changed their name to Power. Unfortunately re-branding does not make the product or services any better. Ergo Charter to Spectrum. Channel guide rarely works. I went in to re bundle at the office because I'm paying 220.00 a month and I think that's way too high. The woman in barely negligible English told me that if I gave up HBO, Showtime and Movie Channel she could save me, get this.........20 dollars. This cable company charges way too much for way too little. What happened to the universal sports channel? Time Warner gets into a dispute with them and all of a sudden the channel is gone from the lineup. What, universal wanted an extra dime from time Warner to access their channel, and time Warner couldn't spare it from the $130 basic package I pay every month? Is it possible to give somebody a zero because Spectrum deserves one. After waiting for 45 minutes to return my box I was informed that because I brought it back a day late I was going to be charge for the whole next month. That's the way their billing cycle is done. I was told that if I called customer service that possibly I could be helped. After being on hold for 10 minutes I was informed by the very helpful representative that she would have to transfer me to a supervisor, who explained mean doesn't matter they do not prorate billing once you're charged even if it's a day difference there's no Chance of not having to pay that months bill. Avoid Time Warner at all cost. The store is ok, but the service, billing, and technical support are WORSE THAN THE DMV. I rarely write bad reviews, but it can decidedly say this is the worst company I have ever done business with. If I had a choice in cable providers, I'd have switched long ago. If you have a problem, their website is useless and buggy. They'll charge you $5 if you call to wait on hold and be transferred several times without resolving the issue. Expect to be asked the same question dozens of times. I've had SEVEN separate service issues in the last year. They even shut off t service twice for "lack of payment" (without prior notification, and the one time they did, I was told my account was current only to shut off the next week), even though my bill is on auto pay, Tech support are robots until you finally get someone good. Given the reviews, I was hesitant to go to this store, but I thought my experience was awesome! Easy electronic check in, complimentary bottled water and I was greeted by very friendly staff (as was each customer before me). I had a somewhat complicated set of issues, but all of them were resolved easily and efficiently. Not a hassle at all. Terrible location! Walked in to pick up digital adapters at 1:30pm on a Tuesday and the place was cramped with so many people. I was asked to sign in and when I asked how many were in front of me the gentleman pointed to the screen showing a dozen plus names! As if that wasn't bad enough, one lady waiting in line said she had been there for close to an hour and still hadn't been seen! Very slow customer service with not enough assistance! I can't wait until our contract is up. The only service we have with them is Internet and...it's not fast. They just raised their rates to $75.99 a month....just for Internet! They don't tell us when the rates get raised...it just happens. As for customer service, we've had them for 5 years and they won't budge on any prices. No discount. Nothing. They keep calling you even if your phone number is on the national do not call list and even after telling them to put your number on their internal do not call list. DO NOT PUT IN TIME WARNER INTELLIGENT HOME THERMOSTATS! Seriously, they need to change their name. We have gone the ENTIRE WINTER without a heater because ever since they installed their fancy phone controlled thermostat, it almost never responds to the controls. My kids come home from school and put on their ski jackets to do their homework. We have to eat dinner upstairs in our bedrooms. After MONTHS of a revolving door of repair men telling me its a wireless communication issue with their own equipment, finally I got a repairman who realized how long we have been living like this. "I am sorry about this mam, I will have an HVAC specialist call you tomorrow and get this fixed. This should never have happened". Next day, nothing. A few days later I call again, only to hear that our service call had been cancelled. What? I never cancelled it. So, I tell them no, its not cancelled. Please send someone out, we are freezing here. I got yet another repairman the following day. He says that now this is no longer their issue. Even though the system in my brand new home worked perfectly before they installed their equipment, now they are telling me I need to call and have my own HVAC person look at it on dime. I cannot believe I have gone an entire winter waiting for Time Warner to fix this and now its come to this. I could have called an outside repair man months ago! I was told that their first thermostat may have shorted out the mother board on my heater and they would get someone in to fix it. Now, nothing. Not their problem. How about their security system? We went on vacation for a week, I kept checking the system to make sure it was armed and checked over the cameras to make sure everything looked normal. Great. When I returned from vacation, I walked right in the back door and the system WAS NOT EVEN ARMED. I look at my phone controls, it shows ARMED. I look at the panel in the house, UNARMED. So, this entire time we have been on vacation, I have had a false sense of security (literally), thinking It was armed. I immediately called customer service in Buffalo. The service rep apologized and told me that they were "too busy" to call us. Our system went down one week prior and they never had an opportunity to call us? What is the point of the system? I just got my May 2019 bill & Spectrum has added a $10.00 increase to my phone and a $40.00 increase to my cable bill. THAT IS AN ANNUAL INCREASE OF $500.00!!!!!!! Talk about price gouging!!! I specifically asked if I would have all my channels that I currently had (I still had the old time Warner deal), she said everything would be the same besides the phone number. This company is a joke. Unfortunately they and direct tv are the only shows in town where I live. I have called regarding new customer service only to spend the first call on the phone 45 minutes only to be dropped. I called back hotter than a March heir only to speak to a customer service person who seemed to be reading from a canned script and very robotic in her answers. Was told service tech would be here on a certain day between 8-9 am. At about 930 I called again and again it was another 30 min till I was told the tech was scheduled for the following day between 8-9. Fast forward, tech arrives and the home I am renting has no co axial outlet in the house. I opt to talk to landlord before tech starts drilling through the wall. The tech tells me that he will leave my order open. I'm just to call when I'm ready for the tech to return. I just called, the Customer service guru tells me it will be over a week before I see anyone from TWC on my door step. I'm so pissed, I really don't like there service. Everyone is nice but they all seem to not care about their job or you. Pretty much how the whole company is I guess. It's not that hard to look up and tell me how many people are ahead of me instead of making me turn around and look myself. They only put down your first name so there were a few mix ups with people not knowing who was first or thinking they were first. I had a positive experience here! Finally went to replace a bad remote. Received new one and new one had functions that didn't work. Went back even after my husband spoke to them and they were shipping out a new one. I brought back defected new remote and even though they were shipping a new one, the customer service rep gave me two just in case. I did not wait long. Customer service was pleasant and friendly.
