5-star customer service + 0-star Corporate policy = 3-star review? I stopped in the store yesterday and the very friendly cashier asked if I was interested in a candy bar from the counter, which I politely declined. She tried again "they're buy one, get one for a dollar!" I declined again, and heard her whisper "dang it," and she looked genuinely sad... I asked if she got a kickback or something for selling candy, and she explained that the employees bonuses are based solely on how many candy bars they push, and further explained that they get a monthly "quota" they must meet as a team, and if the quota isn't met no one gets the monthly bonus, no matter how many items an individual team member sells. How much of a bonus, you may ask? $50/per employee. And the monthly candy quota? 14,000 candy bars. FOURTEEN THOUSAND. No one should be made to beg for a bonus which is essentially what this money-grubbing Corporation is forcing their employees to do. (I bought 4 candy bars.) Do better, Speedway. read more

Located at I-96 exit 16, this fuel stop occupies a small footprint. That said, they have a couple diesel pumps out back, but very little big-rig parking otherwise. There is a small parking area next door behind the McDonald's restaurant. Otherwise, this Speedway store is small, but efficient. I found the staff to be cheerful and pleasant. The convenience store inside has much of the same offerings as other Speedways. Speaking of restaurants, in addition to the McDonald's, there are quite a few fast food joints in the immediate area. Today's diesel price was lower than most prices I see posted throughout Michigan. Don't forget to use your Speedy Rewards card here! read more

Im at this station usually 3 times a day at least. The people that work there are great. Always nice and helpful. Usually have anything i need from a general convienence store. Only problem i have is they are usually higher on gas prices than anywhere else such as allendale or nunica or spring lake. Alll the stations in coopersville are high so i guess its a coopersville thing. Anyway if you want a smile and good service then speedway is it. read more

Stopped in today for gasoline around 7:30 p.m. using pump 5. The brunette lady cashier was rude on the intercom when telling me to pre-pay, and at the counter by not saying hi to me when I walked up to pay. I felt discriminated against because after I left she did say hi to the customer after me. It would be nice if cashiers were equally mannerly and courteous to everyone instead of snubbing certain customers of their choosing for whatever reason. read more
