They do local specialties, ranging from asparagus & fresh chanterelles to pork shoulder to Leberknödelsuppe (liver & marrow soup with dumplings), and they do them very, very well. Their "huge, colorful salads" are as billed, so come hungry. If you order an appetizer and an entree, you could easily feed two people. Do yourself a favor and order a bocksbeutel of local white wine. They do it right here, and their wine menu (with both local and international selections) is great. I ate here maybe five times with a group of 9 people and we never tired of their food, excellent service, and delightful ambiance. Well done! The heater wasn't running and wouldn't turn on. We didn't pay the extra euros for breakfast, but it didn't look very good for the price. Elevator was very small and had a wet moldy smell to it.. yuck! On the plus side they had a beer vending machine! Parking is available in a lot behind the hotel and a few spots in front of the hotel. At the centre of the place is the swimming area consisting of a chlorine free if rather cool pool, lawns for sunbathing, children's playground, and a little shop that sells drinks and snacks. The ablution blocks are well cared for, there is also a nappy change room for babies and toddlers. The TV room is rather more interesting for campers or the only way to get a formula-I-fan out of the house on a Sunday afternoon. The place is open to day visitors with an entry price of 1EUR per person a bargain nowadays. Definitely well worth a visit on a sunny day!

Very much a bed and breakfast style (family owned and living on sight). Conveniently located atop a pastry and coffee shop, allowing for morning breakfast. Walking distance from city center and dozens of restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Typical German lodging for room size with a very fresh, clean and modern feel and design. I often read papers on my iPad in the morning and wanted to Skype with my family but no chance. A tip to the owner: the common area downstairs should have a kettle so guests can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or decaf in the evening.
