I wasn't sure my children would like the Pinocchio Park as they weren't very familiar with the…read moreoriginal story and thought they might miss the lack of usual kiddie amusement park stuff but in fact they really enjoyed discovering all the sculptures and statues which are dotted around the park. These are works of art but each depicting a character from the novel. The author of this revered Italian childrens story took his pen name from his home village of Collodi and hence the park was built here, a few miles from Pescia in Tuscany. Combing the Pinocchio Park with the Garzoni Gardens also in Collodi makes a good day out, and suitable for families or just adults as well.
