Best Thai food!! We always get the Pad Kee Maow and Basil Fried Rice. Always pleased with the flavor and level of spice. The curry dishes are also delicious. Never had a dish we didn't like, but those are our favorites. They always send our ToGo boxes home with free egg rolls, too. Ordered here for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! They only offer orders to go and no dine in so I'm unable to review that aspect of the restaurant but I will say the girl working when I went in to pickup was very friendly and professional. Was told by one of the locals about this place... The food came out steaming hot fresh off the wok which is damn hard to find these days anywhere you go. But I do have to admit the drunken noodle was way to sweet. The curry in string beans was good. Service was excellent. Our total bill for lunch was right at $15 bucks and these days that's hard to find especially for a decent thai restaurant. Would i go back? Yes! read more

My mom is Thai and we have a lot of Thai family and friends in the area. Our guests from Thailand have been here and our community comes here, because word gets out that the food here is better than, or exactly what you get, in Thailand. This is where all the local Thai restaurant owners go to eat.... I just walked in with my aunt and uncle to see all of our Thai friends (all of whom own their own restaurant!) sitting together with a few bottles of wine, empty plates and full bellies. Can't loose here - but FYI, there is a Thai menu that is written in Thai. If you're feeling adventurous, ask about it and perhaps they'll try their best to interpret it for you. It is not stuff typically found in a Thai restaurant, but many favorites of Thai people that are just too difficult to make at home or in your average Thai restaurant. This is a true mom and pop shop, all family operated in the kitchen - the mom is the best cook!! I am currently sitting at the table writing this review bc I need to recoup from over eating. Spice Thai is a humble and homey restaurant with fast service and consistently high quality food. I always order the pad see ew, which has soft flat rice noodles with a mix of your choice of protein (chicken, beef, pork, tofu, etc.) and veggies. The dish isn't ever too salty or dry like some other Thai places I've been to. The chicken satay with peanut sauce is also grilled perfectly and well-seasoned. The restaurant is next to Roman Cucina and although seating is limited, we rarely have to wait for a table. read more

What a little gem in Allen! Great price and value for their lunch specials. Pad kee maw and Pad Thai were excellent! In fact, I'm really picky about my Pad Thai and their pad Thai is one of the best one I've ever tasted around here. My husband ordered Thai Fried Rice and it was just okay, not as flavorful as he expected. We definitely will be back to try their other menu. Looks like they have a lot of authentic dishes. I ordered online for the family using Google's ordering system and picked up in store. We ordered the Pad Thai (mild), Pad See Ew (medium), and Red Curry (medium). For appetizers, we got the Spring Rolls and Fresh Rolls. All in all, the food was very tasty, and they even gave us an extra order of Spring Rolls for free! My only complaint would be that the Pad Thai noodles were stuck together and the flavor wasn't what I'm used to (maybe a little too sweet?), but I did get it mild so it could be due to the lack of spice. I have a low spice tolerance and the medium was perfect for the Pad See Ew and a bit on the spicier side for the curry, but still delicious! I was going to give this restaurant 4 stars because of the Pad Thai, but because I understand they're doing their best during COVID-19, I'll add the extra star for the benefit of the doubt. Tried the Thom Kha noodle soup, the shrimp rolls and the chicken satay. All of the.portions were pretty big and the food tasty. The crunchy wrapped shrimp was still juicy and tasted delicious with the slightly spicy sweet dip. The soup could probably have been a little more spicy, but it believe you can request that. The satay was freshly made, with a great peanut sauce and a side of awesome cucumber salad. I only did take out but the staff was very friendly. Definitely will return. read more

Lunch date with wifey and we picked this place since we wanted to try a new Thai restaurant in the vicinity... The place was small, still we got a table immediately... We went for the lunch special, I had the Ginger Tofu and my wife had Pepper Chicken... Food came pretty fast, was served by the time we finished the salad that came with the lunch special... For the Veg spring roll, they gave a Ginger based dip which was nice... Sufficient quantity for the price and the food was nice as well... I am addicted to Tom Yum and have tried dozens of options around the area. I was excited to try some of Spice Thai's Tom Yum soup on my way home from work. I placed an order online and was able to quickly pick up my order, though the parking lot was PACKED and I had to park quite a ways away at 6:30pm ish. The restaurant was not terribly packed, and I was assisted within a minute of arriving. I ordered one bowl of shrimp tom yum and one bowl of chicken tom yum, intending to have some as leftovers. However, much to my disappointment, the chicken was entirely left out of my chicken tom yum soup. Instead, I described a ten dollar bowl of broth with some mushrooms on top. The shrimp tom yum was much better, and it contained seven pieces of tail-on shrimp in a large serving. The broth was tasty and flavorful, but leaving the meat out of the soup seems like quite a significant oversight. I attempted to message the restaurant on Facebook to kindly ask about a refund, but I was informed that the Facebook page is still under the control of Spice Thai's old manager who had been unsuccessful in transferring ownership to the new owners. It would be nice if there were a way to contact the restaurant other than calling. Ultimately, quite a letdown. read more

So glad I came to try this place for lunch! I'll try to be as organized as I can with this, but my thoughts are running! They are located off Bethany, really easy to get to if you are heading west, but even if you're heading east it's not to hard to get over there. Right next to the race track off Bethany. The inside is pretty small, but was plenty accommodating for the lunch time crowd that they had. It has a Mom and pop look to it, but I felt like the look and decor were plenty for a small intimate space. We were greeted and seated right away, by the only front of house employee, who was crushing it! She was host and server, and had everything completely under control. She was friendly and attentive. We went for lunch, so for now, I can only comment on their lunch menu and lunch portions. The lunch prices are amazing. It's about $7 per person for lunch, and the portions are huge. I saved half of mine for later. If I was really hungry I probably could have eaten the whole thing, but you get other stuff with your meal as well. So most of the entrees are noodle or rice based, and then they have typical dishes that have a sauce base with sautéed veggies. You pick your choice of protein between veggies, tofu, chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp (for an up-charge). I really enjoyed this as I'm a vegetarian so I was glad to see tofu! We didn't have to wait long for our food, and you could tell it was made to order and not sitting around waiting for us (no hot plates) My mom got soup for her starter and it was chicken and rice soup. She really enjoyed it and said the flavor was great. I got salad, which comes with an amazing peanut dressing. I LOVE peanut anything so this salad was awesome (and I don't normally like salads) Our food cake out quickly and includes a veggie spring roll and sweet sauce to go with it. It's a little small, but I love spring rolls so I was happy with it! My mom ordered the chicken pad Thai. The chicken is white breast meat, and they leave the crushed peanuts on the side in case you don't want them mixed in. The pad Thai was so tasty and I don't normally like rice noodles. The flavor was so delicious and it was seasoned so well. They ask you ahead of time how spicy you want it and we both got medium spicy. I ordered the basil fried rice with tofu, and I don't know if I'll be able to try anything new because I loved that dish so much. I got mine medium spicy as well. The tofu was cooked and seasoned so well, it wasn't bland or undercooked. The rice was so flavorful and the basil was so fresh and delicious! I am so glad I tried this place out, and I am looking forward to going back, and trying their delivery. Stopped in tonight for dinner and ordered the basic litmus test for a new (to me) Thai restaurant: Pad Thai. First, the hostess was also the waitress with only one other waitstaff there. I am a stickler for service & you don't get it here. No name, no selling the menu & long time to wait for the food to be delivered. In the meantime, most of the patrons seem to be walk-in overflow from the new restaurant next door (like us). Now for the food: plenty of shrimp but it was thrown in (tails included) to a heaping mound of gummy noodles, some areas hot, others cold. No cilantro, added lime wedges, no garnish, scarce tamarind sauce with bits of tofu & a hint of egg but a mound of crushed peanuts to the side. Had to ask for the check & while it was the other waiter that finally got us out of there, it wasn't enough to redeem the night. This is not a repeat for me but checked off the list of 'been there-done that'. read more

I've been here too many times for lunch after only discovering it for two months and I could say this place defines authentic thai cuisine. Food are amazingly good! A quaint, pretty small place and it's always almost full during luch hours (11-3pm) so I always have mine to go which is always ready after 10mins. I have tried the red, green and yellow curry from the lunch special and I tell you I have never tasted such good curry in my life. Also Yum Moo Krob or the crispy pork is a MUST try, it was that good! I am not really good at describing it but I know when my food isn't good.
