I ordered eggplant with shredded pork. It was so comforting and delicious- flavorful without hot spiciness. If you are off out by pools of oil on the dish, I don't recommend; however, I love fat and oil and found that it added to the taste as I spooned it on my rice. Since I'm an old lady I find that I don't eat much at each meal. The remainder of this meal is enough to serve me two and possibly three more meals. This makes it quite affordable. I enjoyed the restaurant that used to occupy this space but this one is every bit as good and close by. My family and I came back here for a Mother's Day lunch. Since the last time we came here, my mom has been wanting to eat here again because she loved it so much! We walked in and saw nobody else was eating there which made us a bit sad because we think this place deserves some more love and customers! We ordered the beef fried rice, chicken chow mein, braised eggplant with green bean, and crispy pork rib which were items we loved and ordered the first time we were here. As for the new items we decided to try, we ordered the mapo tofu, sesame chicken, and for something sweet, rice cake with brown sugar. All the dishes we ordered both old and new left us full and satisfied. Service was top notch as expected as well as quick to serve. The food came out hot and fresh and had no lingering cold areas. And of course, very large and generous portions to the point that even for a table of 4, we needed to- go boxes! They even go above and beyond to pack your to-go boxes for you which I think is amazing customer service. Everything was flavorful and very sichuan-inspired! To say the least, the string beans was one of the best I've ever had and I would definitely be coming back just for this. The cumin lamb was super flavorful with the spicies and the onions. The portions for everything was very big. Also the spicy level was pretty tolerable, and there were also less spicy or nonspicy options. The spicy chicken was also very good and tasty. Not greasy, fresh, crunchy and soft at the same time. The flavors were subtle and such a perfect contrast to the blanched veggies and crispy outside. My favorite was definitely the sesame chicken. It was hot as it had just come out, crunchy texture on the outside and soft on the inside.. like a better version of orange chicken. The Mongolian beef was also great. Ordered off door dash and can say this is the most underwhelming food I've ever had, possibly the worst. We had to add our own sauces and seasonings to make it better. We ordered the beef chow fun, broccoli beef, and braised pork belly. The beef chow fun had no flavor and barely any noodles. It was ALL bean sprouts. The noodles that we did have were stuck together and mushy. The broccoli beef barely had sauce and no flavor, the broccoli was old and sour. I was most excited about the braised pork belly, however this was the most disappointing meal. It came with potatoes and two pieces of broccoli. The potatoes were piping hot, parts of the pork belly were warm, other parts were hot. The pork belly was also very dry. I'm used to eating braised pork belly and it's usually sweet. This was not sweet and I'm not sure what flavor profile this was supposed to be, as there wasn't any flavor. Never again. read more
