My wife and I had several visits with a bad one 4 years ago. A bad one can literally destroy your spine! My wife was very active and in good overall health when we went in for routine care. After a few visits she was clearly not responding well, so that Dr said that she simply needed more adjustments. After a few more visits I took her to Doctor Moss for a second opinion. Doctor Moss saw right away that there was a serious problem and said "You need to get some imaging, something isn't right.". The imaging showed several herniated disks with her C4,5 so badly damaged that it had to be replaced. She's been predominantly bedridden since then because of unbearable nerve pain. The other chiropractor would have continued "care" until my wife was paralyzed or dead. I say that because he saw the same symptoms and kept twisting her spine while Doctor Moss saw it once and recognized that there was a problem. My wife and I both accredit Doctor moss with literally saving her life that first visit. Doctor Moss is a rare find. He does not force everything to Crack and send you off. So I tried this practice and I have been very pleased how my body likes the activator method to stay in alignment. Before I moved to this area from Kansas City area I went to a chiropractor who uses Blair method and the activator method is the closest I have found to the Blair method. Once my body got back into alignment I have only had to visit 2-4 times a month depending on what is going on in my life. The three doctors at Advanced Health are very good at what they do. I have my preferences of which doctor I like to use, but they are all good. One thing this practice does is to offer massage therapy at a very reasonable price. In the event of a muscular injury, which I'm dealing with currently, they are also set up to use ultrasound on the effected area. I have found these additional services have helped me stay in alignment. So even though my adjustments are covered by insurance after deductible I pay out of pocket for both the massage and ultrasound. This is a gentle chiropractic practice. I feel they truly care that the patient gets better.

So I went about it the old fashion way, I picked up the phone and started interviewing the people answering the phone for these doctors. This office was by far the best! The lady who answered the phone was friendly, informative and inviting. I love that the doctor was in business over 25+ years. We were able to get in the same day. The rates were very comparable to every other office I called. The office visit: the place is clean and adequate for a chiropractors office. I'm a stickler for restrooms at any place I go to. The good news, the restroom was spotless. The pride in ownership was evident. The actual adjustment: my son was the patient. His back had been bothering him for weeks after a snowboarding crash. Dr Mayo was great at explaining everything to him and easing his mind as to the issues. We left after about 30 minutes including the stimulus treatment he recommended as well. I was very close to calling 911. I have never been to a chiropractor but my gut said to go. I didn't want to mask the injury with drugs I wanted to fix it! So I hopped on Yelp and Dr. Scores got me in within 30 minutes!!! Dr. Scoresby hooked me up into this chair/swing thing and holy moly instant relief. My pain walking in was a 10/10 and barley walking. I walked out with a 5/10!! I'm headed back for more tomorrow. When I got out of the chair I couldn't believe the difference. One of the other patients there said, "Isn't it the best?! I love that chair!" Me too girl, ME TOO! Dr. Scoresby said there are less than 100 of these in the US. I'm so glad I just happened across their info. They have a patient for life! Update: (The next day). I hung out for a while in the chair. He did some stretches on me while I was in the chair. From how severe I hurt my back yesterday, there is NO WAY if I went to the ER and just got some muscle relaxers and pain meds that I would be better the next day. I have been to many chiropractors for most of my 70 years. Also brought my 4 kids to them from time to time when needed From Massachusetts , to Albq. New Mexico, to San Jose Ca. to now Idaho Falls. And I have to say that he is the best one I have been to. He is up to date with all the new technique's and take his time with you. Usually I was rushed out by the Doc after a treatment to leave room for the next patient . But not so with DR Scoresby. He takes the time to listen to my complains and also if a person needs X-rays he takes his time to explain it all to you. Also during the time he was treating me I sprained my ankle. He adjust that to along with recommending that I have Laser treatment to help it heal faster. His associate that does the lasers treatment is name Josh and also very nice and helpful.
