Lump Crab Cakes
April H.

We really enjoyed our experience. We sat in a booth near the front entrance which was great because it buffered the noise from the bar area and other restaurant patrons and felt nice and private for easy conversation. We ordered a bottle of wine and the jalapeño popper dip and squash salad to start. The dip was warm cheese topped with sweet and spicy sauce and jalapeños, served with chips. The salad was very fresh with lots of great toppings and mustard vinaigrette. The crab cake entree did not disappoint! The crab cakes were so delicious, lump crabmeat with very little filler, perfectly cooked along with a side of mashed potatoes and broccolini. The pan roasted chicken was also delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. We finished with the peanut butter pie and Apple pie à la mode. This was a great meal with good service. They have a good wine list, fun cocktails and extensive whiskey selection too.

Apple pie mule

We had an excellent dinner here tonight. Definitely make a reservation on the weekend. This place filled up. People were even sitting outside and although it's covered with heaters, I wouldn't have wanted to sit out there. My dad and I ordered the apple pie mule. It was fantastic. We both loved it. I would get it again. I decided to try the hot and sour chicken and vegetable soup. It was delicious. My only complaint is that I thought the amount was a little skimpy. My friend had the loaded baked potato soup and she loved it. They gave us each a warm roll and butter to go with our meals. I appreciated that with my soup. It was very good. For dinner, I got the seared tuna bowl. This thing was huge and it was fantastic. I loved it. Everything in it was delicious. I would order this again and again. My dad had the salmon entree and he loved his as well. My friend ordered the salad with steak and she said he's was really good too. The steak was cooked as ordered. Our meals were so good, we couldn't resist getting dessert. We tried the bourbon pecan pie and the peanut butter pie. Both were very good. Our server, Marlena, was excellent. Service was on point. Do come here and visit this wonderful restaurant!

a bottle of old forester and a glass of whiskey

I came here when word got out they had Old Forrester Birthday Bourbon. I took a trip down here and I was pleasantly surprised. Their whiskey and bourbon list is quite extraordinary considering how small this place is. I ordered the Steak and Frites which is a 12oz NY Strip and garlic parmesan frites. The fat strip was a bit bigger than usual but cooked perfectly otherwise. Creme Brulee was great too. The bar manager was super friendly and a great guy to talk to.

this is a nice place to go to; they have a really nice selection of beer. The bartender is very friendly; I think her name was Aubrey & the manager was nice, too. I'd say it's generally an extremely nice spot for a date-night, business meeting, drinks with the guys, whatever.

Winter Salad

Small place with a reasonable but varied menu, good food and a very nice staff. I had the winter salad and it was a good portion size with fresh flavor and toppings. Little pricier food options but fitting for the nicer atmosphere they offered.

Delicious fun atmosphere. Heated outside. Variety of food. Servers smiling. A little noisy from motorcyclists driving by.

Overpriced, mediocre food. The service was terrible when we went. We even gave it two tries, but still awful!

My wife and my parents and I all went out to Savory Grill last night. Wow! Such a pleasant evening…read more The owner, Dorothy, greeted us warmly and we were seated promptly. Our Server, Kylie took our drink order- but where she remembered my wife's usual, a key-lime margarita. For my appetizer I ordered Escargot fricassee, Primordia mushrooms, pearl onions, sundried tomatoes... so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer and Kylie was kind enough to suggest and to bring out an extra slice of homemade bread as I did not want to let the delicious juices of the appetizer go to waste. The house salad is a Spring mix salad with malanga and mung beans With your Choice of Grana emulsion, lemon poppy, toasted cumin coriander dressings. I had the Filet mignon, asparagus, spinach pave potato, local mushrooms and bacon jam as my entrée-- and Shawn, the Chef cooked it to the perfect temperature for me. Delicious--Thanks Shawn!!! My Dad had Pan seared sea scallops & shrimp, fregola sarda, mushroom cream sauce and he loved it. My wife enjoyed the Maine lobster tails, asparagus risotto, root vegetable salad and she was kind enough to share her risotto! My Mom had the Breaded veal medallions, grilled eggplant, mozzarella, sage, romesco sauce. She'll be back. Desserts--So good! Homemade malted strawberry ice cream!!! Although the dining room was filled to capacity- the voices and tones were quiet and we all could enjoy conversation. And... although the place was full Kylie didn't seemed rushed and she was always right there when we had a need. Both of my parents were grateful for the exposure to the Savory Grill as they now have a new place to enjoy- their words! Thank You to Shawn, Dorothy, Kylie and the rest at Savory Grill!

We thought it would be good, but we didn't expect that it would be outstanding. Their dinner menu was fairly small but had an amazing variety of dishes to suit many tastes. It was difficult to choose, but we settled on the veal and the pork rib rack chop. I knew it would be an outstanding meal when the salads that came with all entrees arrived. I usually grudgingly take a couple bites of a provided (typically uninspired) house salad, but this one was comprised of perfectly dressed greens that were the most tender, delicious, and freshest I've ever had in a restaurant, topped with crispy taro strips and a ring of tiny mung beans. If that level of care goes into a humble salad, I figured the mains would be awesome. They were. Both entrees had beautifully cooked proteins accompanied by generous portions of also beautifully cooked vegetables. The pork rib chop was especially impressive, tender and juicy and nicely paired with the apple mostarda, a sophisticated riff on a traditional pork chop with apple sauce. In addition to the vegetable sides noted on the menu descriptions, we each got haricot verts on the side. I typically eat green beans only because they're good for you, but these were so delicious that they were the only item I didn't take for leftovers. The dessert list was impressively long, and we went for their crème brûlée and a Bavarian with chantilly cream and cherries. The crème brûlée was delicate and smooth, with many specks of fresh vanilla bean and topped with incredibly fresh berries. The Bavarian was excellent as well, mousse-like in texture. Our service had the professionalism you would expect in a high end place. I thought it was an especially thoughtful touch that my box of leftovers was delivered at the end of the meal with the check, so it wasn't sitting on the table with us during dessert. The Savory Grille knows small touches make a difference. Of note, we were in the main dining room, which was a little snug, and the volume with a full house was a bit loud (from talking, not music). The other space looks a bit more spacious. No matter, we had an awesome dinner here that left us with fond memories, and I highly recommend the Savory Grille for a special occasion.

She spilled the info table-side. And most importantly the chef is one of the best ever. We've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the area and only one comes to mind and they no longer exist. So this place is up there. We're blessed to have a lot of awesome restaurants in our area within easy driving distance. This particular restaurant stands out even among all the great places nearby. 5 plus stars. One note however, the chairs are comfortable enough but, they are subtly designed to keep people moving to keep business moving. It's not bad for an hour and a half but, around this time you may start noticing what I am saying. Bring a cushion if you're planning on a long stay. It's a Wednesday night and folks are nestled around the tightly knit bar like everyone is family. I'm the outsider from Allentown just passing through but the hostess and servers treat everyone all the same. This quaint restaurant has cloth table settings with ice water, awaiting your arrival. While the view is the main highway that runs through this sleepy town, it offers a bit of nostalgia from a day gone by. I've been here several times and I'm finally getting around to posting my review. I've always enjoyed my time here at Limeport even if every visit had some flaw. This time my drink glass had lipstick all over it, which the server thought was hilarious as well as embarrassing. I agree. The Smashburger is not a Smashburger at all. It's a decently flavored frozen puck that's been transformed into what ended up being a decent burger. You see, they know sauces well here as they're famous for all of their house made dressings and add-ons. The fries are homemade and come straight from the potato, but the oil is clearly old and the fries unfortunately were over overcooked. Well, this visit wasn't my favorite visit. I've really enjoyed my meals in the past. I will be back several times as I come through the town, but I'm not sure that it would be a destination restaurant for me. For those that live local, you're very blessed to have a solid restaurant available to you with filet mignon scallops and wonderful, house-made salads at your fingertips. Cheers!
