Don't worry if you don't have gear, they do and don't worry if you are just tagging along with someone who loves to fish. A great time will be had. The yacht is so clean and very comfortable. There are bathrooms and places to sit. The Captain and crew are so nice. They are very helpful for people just starting out and they know how to help the seasoned fisherman. You can also charter the yacht to spread ashes of a loved one. I have not done that, but some were doing that before we boarded and they had a lovely little ceremony for their parents. There is also a lot to do right in the Marina before or after. You will love it.

Between my son and I, we caught over 40+ fish each, mainly sandbass and Calico's. On the ride out the marina we even saw a few dolphins . The boat was very clean and spacious. The cabin area has two extra seats. Jeremy and Eric were helping us out by switching out gear and at times baiting our live bait. Jeremy fillet our fish for us as well . Eric was taking pictures and videos of my son and I. If you are looking for a great fishing experience, these dues are the BEST!!

Also have a couple of restaurants at the base of it before you enter the parking lot. They all pretty much have both inside and outside seating which is nice. The pier itself isn't crazy spectacular like Santa Monica but it has its little charm. You're greeted with the Venice beach pier painting at the entrance. There's a lifeguard tower to the right which is helpful. The pier stretches out with little pockets on each side. Mainly good for people out there fishing. There's nothing on it but great for a nice walk, lounging and of course fishing. It's nothing fancy but still cute. You're allowed to have your pets but biking is limited. We've seen people with bike still so I'm not sure how strict they are with that.

As a member you can enjoy other like minded individuals and join in on weekly festivities they have planned and invite your friends to come and enjoy the view and use the facilities such as the bar which has some low cost prices. You can play some pool, table tennis and Foosball in one area. In another section is the bar and several tables to sit and enjoy each other's company and an outdoor area on the deck to enjoy the boats and scenery. At nighttime the deck area has a gas fire pit in the corner and heat lamps for your enjoyment outside. Currently they are celebrating their 60 year's anniversary of their establishment. It costs roughly $234 per quarter to be a member and you get to enjoy many activities and make new friends.

It was very clean and welcoming. On the water Captain Bob spotted a pod of dolphins and took us near them and we watched the beautiful creatures jump around our boat which made the day very special. He took us exactly where we wanted to spread my father in laws ashes and he made large circles around the flowers and rang a bell and it was a peaceful and wonderful experience.
