If you're willing to pay people to take their time and work slowly, then use this company. Otherwise, I would not recommend them. They charged me an extra $100 to move an electric bed frame because they claimed it was over 150 lbs. However, another company, Family Moving Service, moved the same item without any additional charge. I originally booked a 3-hour service, but they worked so slowly that I ended up paying for an extra hour. In comparison, Family Moving Service completed my move from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 1-bedroom apartment in only 2 hours. I ended up spending over $300 more than expected. Like I said, if you're willing to pay more for slow work, use this service. Otherwise, go with Family Moving Service for honest and hardworking movers. read more

Spendid moving was such a great service! I hired 4 movers and a a truck to move a three bedroom townhouse to a 2 bedroom townhouse. It took us all day because there were lots of stairs at both houses. The crew was so kind and careful with my things. Nothing was broken. They wrapped my furniture in moving blankets and plastic wrap. It was a hot day and we went through lots of waters, but they didn't dally at all they just powered through 8+ hours. Scheduling the moving service: quick and friendly. The person I spoke to was very helpful and clear in answering my questions. The move: My experience was neutral to slightly disappointing. The movers were polite but very quiet(?) for the most part when I would ask for clarification on some things. The service was unfortunately a bit lacking. I was told on the phone that the movers would help disassemble and reassemble the bigger items. However, they did not help assemble the things that they disassembled and I had to request their help with it. When they did do it, it wasn't all the way through with some items. I opted out of tipping since I wasn't fully satisfied with the service but what came across as awkward was despite me clearly opting out of tipping, I was asked by one of movers whether I would like to tip them. They got my things from point A to point B but unfortunately the service wasn't completely as promised. I had decent expectations given the yelp reviews and initial interaction with the staff who helped arrange the move but I am a bit disappointed with the overall experience. I'm not saying it was bad but it wasn't the almost 5-star yelp rated service I was expecting. If the expectations with what was included with the service was set more clearly, then my perception might've been different. Initially, was great when we used the first two times before. However, a bit disappointed. I know we had small spaces and stairs to deal with and heavy items but some of our furniture got messed up. Our ivar is missing two screws, somethings got scuffed (our fridge was a given cause it was it a snug spot), and bed frame fell from the truck. I truly appreciate what movers do since it's laborious work. Have a change of thought about service. Good value for the time though. **They were awesome to work with. The place I was moving out of has 2 flights of stairs and I jumped in to help them move my things downstairs to avoid going over the 3 hours. Moving sucks. There's no other way around it. It's expensive, tiresome, stressful, and mentally/emotionally exhausting...but what if there was a way to mitigate those factors? Splendid Moving did exactly that. The great American dream used to involve moving to a new home, get a bunch of friends to help you load all of your crap into and out of a U-Haul, then you reward them with lukewarm pizza afterwards...but now there's a better, affordable way...hire someone to do it for you. After a lot of research through Yelp and other avenues, Splendid Moving came up on top of every list possible. After messaging them the week before our big move, they responded relatively quickly with a very competitive quote which was the lowest out of all the movers we contacted. I was skeptical, but the reviews were so good so that allayed my fears. When the big day arrived, they were late...but they were very apologetic and communicated their lateness well ahead of time, which was truly appreciated. When the truck arrived, at 4:15pm, two scrawny looking men came out of the truck. Thankfully, I didn't have a lot of heavy furniture, but these guys didn't look like movers...they looked like high school juniors. After a quick tour of our 1 bedroom apartment and we pointed out all of the furniture that needed to be moved, Alex and Nick drew up the paper work, had me sign, and they started the clock. Immediately they wrapped up the couch, book cases, dressers, desks, etc with moving blankets and plastic wrap. The two of them disassembled and moved heavy, bulky pieces of furniture like they weighed nothing. All of the furniture, refrigerator, and boxes we had packed were loaded onto the truck in about an hour. After a quick 10 minute or so drive to our new place, they quickly unloaded the truck and placed all the furniture in the right rooms. They did it maybe less than hour? It all went by so quickly, but they did it right and with care...not a scratch to be found on any of the walls or floors. Only one piece of furniture was slightly damaged (a screw came loose and a shelf popped out)...but let's be fair, IKEA furniture isn't the strongest. By the time the guys had unpacked the truck completely and I paid them the three hour minimum, it was around 6:30pm...well short of the 3 hours I hired them for, but also for the professionalism, speed, and care they put into the move, it was well worth the money. The rest of our move that weekend was kind of a nightmare, but the easiest and best part of the move was the part where Splendid Moving helped. Moving sucks...it's one of those things you never wanna do, but if I ever do it again, these are the people I'm calling to help. read more

These guys were great! I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a house. I had packed maybe 50% of my things and needed the rest packed. They charged me $135/hour cash ($145/hour card) for 3 movers with a minimum of 3 hours. Erick, Uli, and Erzhan were friendly and helpful, they showed up on time, and were very professional throughout the entire move. The packing and moving took a very long time (over 14 hours including the 1+ hour drive time and some breaks to eat), but I needed a lot of packing done and I have a lot of stuff, and in hindsight I should have requested 4 movers instead of just 3. But the guys were super efficient and did not complain about how long it took at all. They disassembled and re-assembled both beds very quickly, and they packed and moved all of my furniture and 2 TVs (77" and 65") appropriately and without scratching or breaking anything! The only negative thing was that the company apparently did not tell the movers that I had requested packing services, so they did not have enough boxes in addition to the ones I had already pre-purchased from Home Depot, so I had to go pick up some more boxes from Home Depot toward the end of the packing. But that's not the movers' fault at all - the company should have told them that I had requested packing services as well, and the truck should have been loaded with more than enough boxes and packing tape. Despite the movers not knowing, however, they accommodated the request for packing without a second thought. Other than that minor hiccup (which wasn't a big deal), it was a great experience. Splendid Moving is definitely one of the most affordable companies out there (others were charging up to like $9K total to pack and move only 20 miles away, which is more than I paid a few years ago to pack and move across the country), and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family, and I would recommend that the company send Erick, Uli, and Erzahn specifically! I hired two movers in October 2025 to move large items (bed, TV, furniture) one mile to my new home. I had already packed and moved most of my belongings myself. The movers arrived on time and were friendly. The move took longer than expected, but initially seemed fine. I bought them lunch and tipped them, as they were working hard. After the move, I noticed a ding and small hole in my wall, which I considered minor and fixable. About a month later, when I finally used my TV, I noticed multiple dead pixels. The TV was only a couple of years old and did not have this issue before the move. I work in TV and media, so this matters. I contacted the company and sent photos as requested. After no response for over a month, I followed up and was asked for the make and model, which I also provided with a photo. There was no response after that. Accidents happen. A lack of communication and responsibility should not. For movers who are responsive and professional, I recommend Pure Moving Company. As I said in my review last year, I'm a researcher!!! And we moved again this year and so again, I did my due diligence to research for the best of the best. (Yes, I did it last year but who knows? There could be up and coming options that are better.) But again, Splendid Moving came out at the top. And again, they met and exceeded our expectations. Everything was treated with caution and care. We felt more like a team than one party taking charge. For example, I didn't have to necessarily "babysit" them. They asked for instruction when needed, but also knew exactly what they were doing. If something was taken to the wrong room, they relocated it with no issue. I didn't feel like they were wasting time or milking it. Actually, both last year and this year, they started a little earlier than planned but didn't charge for that extra time (it was only like 10 minutes, but still). Anyway, Jim, Ali, and Azu did amazing. Our main concerns were our bajillion plants and taking our bed apart and putting it back together. But they moved our plants with care and our bed was set up the way we needed it to be. Everything was wrapped (except things we said didn't need to be) and these pictures were taken after they had left and we had started to unwrap some things. We also were moving a full living room, dining room, 1 bedroom, and a full garage. This included 1 queen size bed + mattress, 2 couches, 2 standing mirrors, 1 marble top dining table, 9 chairs, 1 desk, a microwave, 1 TV, 1 TV console, 4 shelving things, 2 dressers, like 4 standing lamps and 4 desk lamps, about 20 pre-packed boxes, a squat rack, over 15 plants, and some other things I can't remember off the top of my head. We moved from a first floor home to a second story apartment with no elevator. Our new place had carpet in the back of the apartment and they had no issue removing shoes once they reached the carpet. I was talking to my partner afterwards, and we agreed that moving in general is expensive no matter what. After all, it was a luxury for us, not necessarily a NEED. But paying for quality, convenience, and for a service that good and genuine people are providing are worth it. And this was all of those things. read more

They arrived on time ( in fact like 5 minutes early) and they were very quick to assess and explain and answer questions. They go to work right away. I had 3 movers and they wrapped furniture, TV, fridge and other large items with their blankets and wrap. They were very careful to move everything down the stairs. Having 3 movers is the way to go since you want to try your best to keep it under the 3 hour minimum. They will take off fridge doors so that it can fit it through the door and put it back on at your new location. They put other items into boxes to protect it. But we had a 2 bedroom apt and they only moved out our large furniture and appliance items. And that took about 2 1/2 hours for them to get everything and deliver it to our house. So use discernment about how much stuff you have and how much time it will take. We decided before we booked them to move out all small items like clothes, toys, kitchenware, etc ourselves because we didn't want the movers to spend more time. Therefore, keep this mind. We had a 2 bedroom apt and they moved out an L couch, TV, TV console, dining table, 4 dining table chairs, Fridge, mirror, full size mattress, full size bed frame, Twin mattress, stationary closet (Teresa collins closest) and 2 plastic bins. And this took about 2 1/2 hours to finish from pick up to drop off. If we had them move everything out like our clothes and all small boxes, then it would have been over 3 hours for sure.
