Picnic Spot Pizza Fries Philly cheesesteak sub Garlic Cheese Bread
    Jack T.

Came here on a busy Friday night around 7:15 PM. There were a good amount of people inside and we didn't have to wait to order. My friends and I ordered quite a bit of food LOL and had a variety of things to try. We ordered the picnic spot pizza which is most similar to a bbq chicken pizza. A side of fries, a cheesesteak sub and garlic cheese bread. First off, the pizza was fantastic. 5/5 really solid bbq chicken pizza, fresh toppings. Not too sweet not too doughy not too crunchy. Vvery happy w this. Everything else... not so much Our fries were extremely cold and soggy and were almost inedible. I'm not exactly a fine dining guy so I'm not hard to please, but these did not pass The Philly cheesesteak sub was messy and falling out of the less-than warm bread. And I don't even think there was cheese in the sandwich. The taste was meh and I was a bit disappointed The garlic bread wa very tasty and came with a marinara sauce that was nicely complimentary of the savory bread. Overall, the pizza was fantastic, everything else not quite the same grade. I would be back for the pizza and maybe to try the Marrienes ice cream

Amazing pizza and the crust was very thin. They definitely do not scam you of toppings. Although because of the amount of toppings it can be hard for the pizza to maintain its shape; making it harder to eat. They have a very simple menu for pizza and lots of seating. Overall it was delicious and I would definitely go back again!

I was looking for a place to get some quick food before heading to the Los Altos stage company for a show. This restaurant was right around the corner located in a beautiful downtown area. The restaurant has one self service tablet that can be used to place your order. We ordered and received our pizza about 15 minutes later. There are tables available to eat inside but the feel I got was that customers usually get the pizza to go. The pizza was a little salty but otherwise very good. I removed one star because the restaurant was not very clean. The trash was overflowing and the tables were dirty. I would definitely have their pizza again but would probably get it to go. Also love that they have ice cream

I'm a pizza girl and I'm always on the run, and when I order pizza to go I want it fast and non greasy. I ordered a combination slice of pizza called "8.0" and it hit the spot for me. You can get a side of salad and drink along with it for an affordable price. Also , the owners were pleasant people to speak with, hardworking and kind hearted. I'll be back for more !!!

I don't understand the low stars. This is by far the best pizza place in the Peninsula if you're looking for something not New York/Neapolitan style or Chicago Deep Dish. It's the pizza you grew up with done to perfection. I ordered through DoorDash with ZERO PROBLEMS and my food was ready upon pick up. Anyone who said they had a terrible experience using a 3rd party app should try again. It's so rare to find delicious pizza that has a satisfying, crunchy outer layer of crust with the inner crust/dough being soft. The Version 8.0 is moderately spicy from the spicier than normal pepperoni but so delicious especially with their Italian sausage. A large size comes in around $26 and is around 10 slices. It was enough to feed 4 people. I've been coming here and previously their Palo Alto locations for awhile and everything on the menu is great. Give this local business a try.

So this is my 2nd time ordering from Spot in years I really like their pizza! Likes I love their create your own pizza option they have about 30 toppings to choose from! Some of the toppings that I chose for my last pizza were pepperonis, mushrooms, and green olives. I absolutely love the bread (crust) this is the kind of pizza where you eat the hole slice and no ends are left over! The pricing for the premise pizza is not bad & the portion size is pretty good. Enough for left overs if you order one of the larger pizzas! The service has been really quick both times I ordered in DoorDash. It probably took about 20-30 minutes for them to prepare my pizza and deliver it. Almost as fast as ordering fast food! Dislikes I wish they had more premise options! Their premise options are primarily meat based or primarily veggie based. For example one of the premise options has salami pepperoni and sausage! That's too much meat almost I think. I wish they had an option with more balance between meat or veggies. Almost forced to choose between a veggie or a meat lover pizza. The other thing that I wish was that the additional toppings were cheaper ($2.25) on DoorDash for additional topping. That's too much! So if you want a lot of variety it couple cost you quite a bit of money.

However, after the incident, observation and order of food I received on 6/13/26, I cannot support this location. As mentioned we always had a pleasant experience at this location, with great service and great food. But this day the entire staff was off, and it was mainly due to the negative, micromanaging and rude manager/owner Partika. From the moment I walked in the establishment the vibe seemed completely off than what I was use to from past visits. It was scorching hot inside and the employees looked miserable. I quickly figured out why, as I placed my order with the gentleman upfront who was doing a great job, and here comes Partika hovering over him and reaching over him re-asking my order, although the employee had already entered it in and was simply trying to ask if I wanted to add anything else. Once done and paid, she then moves to the back counter and begins to holler over to the employees in the back about hurrying up with tickets, although they weren't very busy. I stood to the side as I had ordered a slice to grab now for my child, and then a full pizza and wings to go. Upon waiting, Partika approaches and tells me to sit down. I looked at her and told her it was not her discretion and I would await the slice to come right out as I already discussed with the employee. Once I obtain the slice i exit and wait in my vehicle in front of establishment. Out comes Partika harassing two men who had just finished up their pizza when I originally walked in and were still sitting at one of the table now having a refreshment from the adjoining establishment. She told them they could not sit at the tables they were reserved for her customers, and they told her they had just ate there and she begin to argue that now they had to move . Be advised there were many tables outside that any guest could choose from and her establishment was far from busy. Once my order was ready, I went back inside , and again she was arguing with another customer who stated the pizza she attempted to hand her was not hers if she could double check. Her rude comment was yes this is yours and the customer explained no her receipt clearly showed this was not her order. The gentleman apologized for the entire ordeal I had experienced and seen and gave me my order , in which I asked who she was and her name for reference. She then bolted towards me asking what the problem in which I told her the issue is she is very rude to very customer I had seen her interact with in the last 20 minutes. Fast forward to arriving home to now enjoy pizza and wings with my family. Open the box and the cheese is stuck to the top bc they failed to properly package it to avoid this mishap. Furthermore several of the winds were undercooked which could have created severe illness. I blame her presence, bad attitude and rushing her staff for these issues. I love the Tony Gemignani pizza brand but this Slice House in Mountain View has a terrible manager/ owner Partika who needs better customer service skills as well as management skills. I much rather have spent $100 with an establishment who had good customer interaction and treated their staff with respect.

The slices are the real highlight. A cheese slice is around $6.50, while specialty slices like the combo run about $8. The slices are enormous, loaded with toppings, and served hot and fresh after a short wait. I've tried both the combo and cheese slices, and both were excellent. The combo slice was so filling that I ended up taking my cheese slice home for my wife. I also appreciate the consistency, these last two visits so far has delivered the same large portions and generous toppings. They offer more than just pizza too, including sandwiches, salads, and I believe calzones. While it doesn't quite have the exact New York flavor I'm used to from visits to the Big Apple, the huge slices, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and great value keep me coming back. No. What I mean is, if you break down their pizza (as I did in one pic below bc I have a cold, so I got mine to go), it's a cornmeal crust with a bunch of toppings and cheese, topped by a thick layer of tomato-based sauce. The crust is not super thin, but neither is it super thick and bready. It basically forms a shell around the toppings and sauce. The toppings can be healthy depending on what you choose. This time, I got 1/2 brass monkey 1/2 free bird. Brass monkey has a lot of sausage and ricotta, so not a healthy choice. Free bird has a really great amount of chicken! ... and some bacon, but I chose it. You could easily get a delicious veggie and chicken pizza, and it'd be better nutritionally. There's a good amount of cheese, but it's not overwhelming or super greasy. If you want in-your-face cheese, add more for another dollar or two. I like if the way it is. The tomato sauce is thick and surprisingly tangy. That reassures me it's not loaded down with sugar. Basically, is this super healthy? No -- in terms of my eating out/takeout, that would be a sashimi salad, or salmon with lightly steamed vegetables and a bit of sweet potato or quinoa. But it's decent for a Friday night out (or in) when you're not really trying to be healthy, but also not making a point of doing the opposite. As for price -- this is March 2026, and the large half-and-half composed of 2 of their priciest options was $39.14 after tax before tip. Now, that seems a bit high for one pizza. But I didn't eat all day, and 2 slices (out of 8) filled me right up. 3 slices would have left me too full, but probably still thinking "worth it!" 4 slices would make me super uncomfortably regretting-my-life-choices overfull. Sure, you can get cheaper pizza/takeout. But this is good stuff, like pasta toppings on a good cornmeal crust. If you ordered 2 solid pastas for under $40, you'd think that was a good deal! Well, this is 3-4 adult's worth of good pizza for under $40. Also, I used to cook and bake a lot more than I do now, and there's a lot of work and ingredient here, more than I'd commit to at twice the price. It would start making sense for me to mix up the crust and buy good cheese and meat and tins of San Marzanos if I needed 4 pizzas, i.e. to feed 15-20 people (with finger foods, salad, sides, dessert). Otherwise I'd just order here. Oh! I can't remember the last time I got takeout here. So they now have a shiny red takeout cabinet to the left as you walk in, and you just put in the last 4 digits of your phone # and your locker pops open! I would have liked not to be sick and to eat in, but the cabinet was pretty cute. :)
