E anche per quest'anno confermato l'ingresso gratuito Una vera e propria festa dell'artigianato brassicolo che si svolgerà dal 12 al 15 maggio 2016, nel piazzale della "CAE - Città dell'altra Economia" Testaccio. Oltre 36 birrifici artigianali, cibo di strada, concerti live ogni sera, laboratori a tema birrario a cura dell'Unione Degustatori di Birra, tornei di Beer Pong... novità di quest'anno: Rome Beer Bike Tour. E non poteva mancare il cibo di strada di qualità per tutti i gusti e palati. Dolce, salato, etnico, vegan. Gli arrosticini e le polpette fritte dell'azienda Tornese, cartocci di pesce fritto e seadas preparate dal ristorante La Locanda del Sardo, Specialità BBq. Pastrami e "fiori del bosco a cura del Bosco degli elfi e Beerstyle, i dolci con le marmellate di Fruttanuda.

Love this market! We first discovered the neighborhood on a walking food tour last fall and enjoyed…read moreit so much that we made a point to stay nearby on this trip. Mercato di Testaccio ended up being one of the highlights again. The market is full of fantastic food stalls offering high‑quality dishes at incredible prices. Italy is already far more reasonable than the US, but eating at the market feels like an even better deal. You get freshness, flavor, and value all in one stop. Inside you'll find everything: produce stands, a great cheese shop, fresh seafood and butcher counters, salumeria, street‑food stalls, and small local retail shops. It's lively, clean, and full of locals -- exactly the kind of place you want to eat in Rome. Absolutely recommend.

The only other things open were produce stands Recommend going after 1030a when the majority of the food places open. We tried 2 different types of Suppli from Food Box 66 which are deep fried rice balls with mozzarella and tomato sauce. The perfect snack to walk around on a cold day. He took cash only. Also tried classic tripe sandwich from Mardi and Vai. Generous size sandwich on crispy bread and saucy bits of tripe. Was ok for me but apparently really good if you enjoy the taste of tripe. Otherwise, it's a nice open air market with lots of authentic food, fresh produce, clothes, etc. a fun place to walk around that's a bit away from the historical city center
