Lane actually found me while he was walking around my neighborhood a few years prior, making introductions. He and I chatted for a few minutes, then parted ways. Shortly thereafter I began receiving handwritten cards from Lane, many times offering contractor referrals and such. When it came time to sell our place, I dug out one of those cards and gave Lane a call - he was there that afternoon. Lane was the upmost professional from day one. He listened to what we were looking for, then provided his guidance gained from years of experience. We had some concerns as we were selling a 125+ year old Victorian, which takes a delicate hand finding the correct buyer. Lane made us feel at ease throughout the whole process, even going so far as bringing in a photographer that specialized in older homes. Our place was represented in the exact way that we wanted it to be, and we had a handful of offers the first day it was listed. Less than 72 hours on the market and we were able to accept a very strong offer that was 10% over our asking price. I must note, we attempted to sell our place in early 2020, prior to COVID when the market was "hot" and did not have anywhere near the same positive experience we did with Lane. One thing I especially appreciated was Lane going through our house and telling us what needed to stay and what needed to go for staging. Amazing photos with correct staging are what get people in the door to look and they are such an important piece to the sale. We ended up closing in less than 30 days and walked away as very happy sellers. As soon as our old place was sold, we began the hunt for a new home. Lane was stellar on this end of things as well. Not only did he coach us on the price range we needed to be looking at, he was very aggressive in getting us what we wanted. His home search algorithm was spectacular and provided us a list of eligible homes we were able to narrow down and action on. We ended up with an even more remarkable house than I could have dreamt at a price that was inside our budget. It was towards the end of the open house and we were the only people going through the house, and being first time potential house buyers we really appreciated the time that Lane took out to have a conversation with us and let us know about the housing market a bit and general conversation about what we were talking about doing to the house if we wanted to move on it. He left a great impression on us both and we kept him in mind, so when we finally did go house hunting seriously we contacted Lane, who recommended that we work with his mortgage guy, Hans. We met with them both and got pre-qualified for what we thought we would be comfortable with and began our search. Lane spent a lot of time pointing out to us what might not qualify(we were initially trying to go through an FHA loan) and made sure to point out things that might be a cause for concern, either to have an inspector look more into or that we ourselves might just want to keep in mind.
