Long overdue review. Had my roof done over a year ago. Although the work hasn't given me any issue, I felt as if I was given an incomplete job. The sides of the first floor roof were left with blue glue (?)exposed (picture for reference). I paid someone $700 to have them cover with stucco as my townhome was getting new paint job. The second level roof has black looking glue which is also exposed. Needless to say it looked very half ass as I told the sales person. I didn't see how this was considered a complete job leaving the sides exposed without any metal eaves or stucco as I have seen other jobs dinevun my neighborhood. When they finally got back to me after some unanswered calls, I was told it would be $700 additional to get the eaves covered with stucco. Im not sure why this was not included in the original job. Or why it was never addressed as this being important to protect the integrity of the roof in the long run. I live in an older town home community. I see new roofs being done frequently around me and have yet one to see who leaves this black adhesive edge like the job Springer roofing did for me. I regret going with this company and wish I would've spent more time looking elsewhere or even asking neighbors for recommendations. read more

Have used this company for several roofing projects. Recently used them to do my personal home and very happy with the outcome. Very professional staff. Left the job site clean, which is hard to find. Workers worked very fast and efficient. Passed inspection without any problems. Overall very happy with Springer Roofing!! After 3 years I happened to come across this review of Springer Roofing and I was deeply saddened. I could not remember feeling that angry about the situation. The intensity of my review left me ashamed of myself. Not because the facts were untruthful ( they were) , but because I voiced them on Yelp in such detail. Now that the roof is paid for and my home has the nicest roof in the neighborhood. I silently bow and say "Nameste" at least twice a week. I am thankful that my investment is secure because of Springer Roofing. Just want to let everyone know, that I had the best experience with this company. I have a flat roof, so I decided on the TPO. It's not cheap, but in the long run it pays off. You hardly hear the rain when storming. Springer offered the best deal. Steven was very professional and very detailed . He checked every time to make sure the job was going perfectly. A few times he corrected his crew on minor details. The roof came out sooo great, our neighbors hired them for their reroofing. read more

This is a response to theirs Everything they wrote there is BS. I will gladly share the emails, texts and attorney conversations. The so called financing options were to put a lien on my property. I'm surprised they're still open, considering the amount of people who have reached out to me agreeing. But then again, people will pay wrong charges in order to keep their house or deal with long attorney meetings. Springer roofing knows that the Florida statute covers any and all fraudulent charges for a contractor. And oh boy do they milk it! I wonder how they sleep at night? Probably with lots of booze and sleeping pills. Because no one with a decent conscience could keep doing this to customers who earn their money honestly....But then again, they wouldn't know what an honest earning is! Honestly, I think they ask their friends to write reviews for them because there is no way that they have provided honest prices to anyone. Contrary to some of the reviewers on here (who don't know the first thing about roofing or construction for that matter), I had an extremely positive experience with Springer roofing! The owner, Steve delivered excellent service, always on time & had zero issues passing inspection. People have to understand, there's no way a contractor can guess if you have rotted wood under your existing/old roof. Chances are, an old roof will have plenty of rotted wood & to replace it (and do a good job for a lasting roof) it requires time & materials $$. The owner is always responsible for that additional cost.... not the contractor ! Steve & the team at Springer roofing are NOT in the business of cheating people out of their money! Please do not pay attention to these reviewers & trust my review. I have a gorgeous roof & had an amazing experience working with the Springer roofing team. Poor service. They don't care about customers. First, it takes almost 3 months after you sign the contract to them start removing old tiles. After they removed my old tiles, I have been with my roof opened almost 2 months. I have been requesting to rush on my installation as I have 2 babies at home and with this high temperatures, they can't sleep and its uncomfortable also mentioned them that my 2 AC units are working to much, after several emails, calls... one AC unit has broken. Who is going to pay this AC replacement? Still I have to wait 2 more weeks for installation. read more

I contracted Springer roofing last July and then waited for over 4 months for them to begin work. Each inquiry about a commencement date for work was met with excuses about the weather. I can understand how bad weather would delay a project for a couple of weeks. The delays in my case, however, two months beyond the worst case scenario presented in the contract. When I told them that I was fed up and was cancelling the job, Mr. Springer informed be that he would not return my deposit because the initial three-day cancellation window had passed. Now I must go through the expense and hassle of litigation. Be wary of this company. read more

Thanks. 12/13/2017 I had read the negative reviews left on Yelp, and in spite of this, I considered giving Springer Roofing a chance. I called to request an appointment for an estimate for a roof replacement, and was given one for two weeks from that day, with a technician called Hector. On the day of the scheduled appointment they did not show up, and never called to apologize or to try re-schedule. I called the company, and the associate that picked up the phone, had the audacity to tell me that they had called me to confirm the appointment but that I never picked up the phone, so therefore, they decided to not show up. I don't think I will be doing business with this company that lies to customers and does not respect their time. read more

I had my roof replaced over the summer and we are so happy with it!! Even my neighbor tells me over and over how my roofer is the bomb and how great the roof looks (his roofer took over a month to complete and it doesn't look as great as mine.) My friend recommended Springer to me when I was in the process of trying to get people to just come to give an estimate, which was near impossible. Springer came when they said they would unlike everyone else and I never felt like they were trying to rip me off. The contractual charges were reasonable and when I got extra charges because I had an old roof with lots of wood damage, Mr.Springer was always available to talk through the charges and my concerns. His roofers were also great..they got the job done faster but not too fast than any of my other neighbors that I've watched over the past year since Irma hit. Mr.Springer has an excellent assistant, Elle who is nice and professional. At the end of the day, I am just a simple homeowner without any drama who wanted a new roof for an affordable price without any hassles and I got it with Springer!!!!! read more

Warning: Very long but the honest truth, no sugar coating, no exaggeration on my end. Pros: - The workers that came out to do the labor were very nice and considerate.Felt comfortable with them and asking any questions that arose. - Replacing an entire roof can be a mess, they kept it as clean as possible both in the front/backyard and the neighbors yard. Cons: -I live in an HOA, they began work before the work was approved by the association. Luckily it was a non-issue and I didn't receive any notice(s). -Subcontracting. I (and my wife once) asked the owner, Steven Springer multiple occasions if they subcontract both before and during the project. I bring this up because the main work crew that came out to tear off the old roof/ place the new plywood and waterproofing layer came from an A-1 Power Contractors Roofing truck daily. I even met the owner of A-1 Power Contractors, Luis Calvo several times as he needed to be present for the first inspection,why? He stated he was a supervisor with Springer. On one occasion when we met it was at night and the A-1 Roofing truck was present, where he tried to "discretely" tell a worker to lower the tailgate where the signage is so we do not notice..Well I noticed. Why hide it? why when I bring it up with Steven Springer or another supervisor with Springer I'm told different stories? I don't buy it, Steven states they are on his payroll, I guess I should be more careful with my words and next time ask if they UTILIZE A DIFFERENT ROOFING COMPANY, WHICH THEY CLEARLY DID to complete the majority of the project. Ridiculous. -LEAK. Maybe I should put this as a pro as it was noticed before the tile was placed and roof done? Luckily it rained hard and during replacement, a brand new leak formed where they apparently missed a spot. It was a Saturday night, called/texted the supervisor for the project and Steven Springer as well with no response at all from anyone. An hour later heard a knock at the door from Luis Calvo, the owner of A-1 Roofing who was able to go on the roof and stop the leak. The damage was already done, the ceiling and adjacent wall was needing new sheetrock and paint. I was told it would be repaired and I would constantly ask when it would be done for over 6 weeks as no one had even come out to look at it to see what needed to be done. Luckily my father in law does construction and Steven Springer gave me a credit for a wood bill I would receive (that for the next con). If i didnt have my father in law to repair the damage inside my home I'm sure it would still be present. - Unexpected 1k bill. When I originally met with Steven to finalize the contract he made it seem everything would be clear and transparent. Any extra charges that may have arise from added wood etc would be mentioned to me beforehand so I can see and approve and additional charges. None of that took place, I received a $1000 wood bill after much of the replacement had already taken place. I asked for proof to some of the charges as he said everything was taken with pictures in case. GUESS WHAT? Springer Roofing said the photos were not retrievable from the camera as the memory card was corrupted. NO PROOF. Alex the supervisor from Springer asked if he can go inside the attic to show me some of the charges (that amount totaled roughly $750 from what I remember). At that point, I let him enter, but who knows what was completed and not completed by Springer roofing. The home is 20+ years old, the repairs he showed me could have been from a previous repair. Who knows. - No word for 5 + weeks from the owner of the company where he was available beforehand. Countless phone calls and text messages, leaving messages with Alex and their secretary to have Steven Springer call me back and nothing for over FIVE WEEKS. I had numerous questions needing to be answered and he was not there to answer them. The last time I spoke with him? When I gave the third check which totaled 90% (15k plus) paid. Go figure, receive majority of payment and don't hear back as they received most of the money and I'm totally committed to them now. - Short on tiles order. Springer roofing was severely short in the order of tiles needing for my home further delaying completion of the project. - The estimated time to complete the roof replacement was 30 days as written on contract and mentioned to me...it took over 60 days! The last month plus with no word whatsoever from the owner of the company, he disappeared. - Failed Final Inspection. Yes, Miami Dade county did not approve the final inspection further delaying the roof being finalized so I can be done with this mess. - Complete Wind Mitigation Report not received yet. Multiple emails and nothing. I received the paperwork but photos are needed as well which I did not receive to get the savings on my insurance. I mind as well just pay 100 bucks to have someone else come out to complete it. This is a fairly new company and it shows sadly. Beware. read more
