We had a women's conference here. ALL the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very nice. The staff in the lobby Starbucks were very friendly and accommodating. They also offer a shuttle to the airport so you don't have to Uber which runs every 15 mins.

A conveniently located mid-scale hotel located at the Atlanta airport. We stayed in a king "suite" -room 512- for a brief overnight, midweek in late March. This is more of a budget hotel with basic features and amenities and includes a free breakfast. Pros: -#1 reason for us was the location-it's located at the airport and you take the sky train towards the rental car venue and get off at the well-marked stop-GCC. The door to the hotel is just a few yards from the stop-1 minute walk at most. -room was clean and bed firm, pillow were nice and we appreciated the light-weight blanket -no real noise from airport although we could here some noise within the hotel from showers and people above us pounding -a decent breakfast is included-buffet included breads, some fruit, juice, eggs and sausage -the attendant Veronica or Valerie? Was super cheery and welcoming -bed was reasonably comfy and the a/c unit did a great job chilling the room and was straight forward to operate Opportunities -the bathroom set up in room 512 was odd-a long narrow space was divided into a separate toilet room with a tiny airplane-sized sink and the 2nd bathroom had a very small shower with another sink and vanity. Low flow shower head with curios spray nozzles hitting you mid torso. -room was quite dark -a couple lights either didn't work or we were unable to locate their switches -translucent doors on bathroom means anyone in there with the light on will wake the other person due to ambient light that spills into the room Bottom line-perfectly adequate for a one-night stay to avoid a crack of dawn flight or to avoid the notorious Atlanta traffic. $225 price ($275 with all the crazy taxes) was a bit steep for the quality/comfort but hey, you are mainly buying convenience.

Clean, quiet, and I chose because it's connected via the SkyTrain. No worries about a hotel shuttle schedule here! It is perhaps 50 yards of walking from the station elevator to the lobby. I walked in the door at 12:00, and I was walking out the door at 5:20. Not much time spent in the SpringHill but I did get four good hours of sleep before my alarm woke me up. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice (though there wasn't one of those towel bathroom "rugs" available. I have no idea about wifi, parking, breakfast, fitness center or any of those things. Tonight's stay was a crash pad. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd stay here again.

Some 5 star qualities -- the proximity to the airport (even closer on the sky tram than the rental car lot), the room layout, the front desk staff -- but also some 1 star qualities. At breakfast, they ran out of coffee. Ran. Out. Of. Coffee. How? Why? Cleaning crew also did not clean my coffee maker and replace my coffee, which was bad because I needed to work late and the coffee downstairs was unreliable. I also don't understand why they replaced my towel that was hanging up in the bathroom when I used it only once. Wasteful, especially for a hotel that sells itself as green. Best dining options nearby are actually back at the airport, just one tram stop away. If I have to go to another conference at the Georgia International Convention Center across the street, I would stay here again for the convenience.

Ms. Thuha was the lovely host standing in front of the restaurant. She guided me to my seat. Then, I had the lovely Ms. Kim as my server. She took care of me. Made sure my water was refilled and my food came out on time. The staff at the restaurant was nice. The farmer's plate was worth it! It was delicious! The salmon was good but not sure if it was worth the price to be honest. Overall, the experience was nice and I dont mind staying here again.

The hotel was a reasonable price for one night and you can literally walk with your luggage to the ATL skyline which makes it easy access to the airport. While this is a fairly new property, it is run like a complete disaster. The front desk staff, while not unfriendly, were kind of a mess. We had a reservation for two rooms and even checked in the Hilton Honors App. Couldn't get a key for our room because they needed to see a credit card. It's already attached to my account, but they still wanted to see it. Fine. Then they could only find one room. I showed them I was already checked in for two rooms on the app. Again. Total confusion. Finally sorted, but extremely painful. Parking. They have valet only. A budget hotel and they want to charge $34 /nt for valet only parking. Are you kidding me??? It even has the Hilton Diamond parking out front, but the hotel staff told me "they don't control the lot". How in the world does Hilton not have control over its own lot? So many questions........ Anyway, I go out to the lot and ask the valet attendant after finally finding him. He's sorting about 30-40 sets of keys ON someone's hood. I'd be ticked if that was my car. He doesn't really know what's happening either. So I stay put where I parked. By the way, I parked myself. Room is decent, but only one set of towels, so I had to go get another. Thin walls, hearing an angry parent yelling at what sounds like an upset 2-3 year old next door. I'm so irritated at this point, I'm tired of writing. Just one ridiculous thing after another. Long story short: just do yourself a favor and avoid this mess altogether. Edit Next Day: Okay, so I may have been a little irritable and tired. Overall the hotel is not bad, the rooms ended up being comfortable and the crazy family next door did calm down. But the mess and COMPLETE DISORGANIZATION checking in last night was really not acceptable. As a Diamond Member, I appreciate the personal welcome, but don't expect it. The free water (which really should be for everyone-don't be cheap) is also a nice touch. After our front desk experience however, I'm seriously not surprised that we received neither. But only one bath towel in the room??? Seriously??? Hilton, get it together. Hilton Corporate, maybe some regional standards teams would be in order. This will still likely be my last visit here, solely due to the parking.

Upon arriving at the Holiday Inn Express at 1419 Virginia Avenue, there were anywhere from 50 - 75 guests in line in the hotel lobby trying to check in at 12:30 am. It was a madhouse. I was dumbfounded. There was one person, a man that I found out later was a "manager" there, checking folks in and one desk clerk, that thought it was more important to restock the "snack area" than to get on a second computer and start checking people in. IT TOOK A FULL HOUR TO GET TO THE CHECK-IN DESK! When I got up to the front desk, I told the gentleman there that I had my confirmation number, my ID, and credit card ready. I showed him my confirmation number on the IHG app, and his response was "I don't need that." He then asked for my last name and when I tried to spell it, he responded with, "I know how to spell." I was taken back by his shortness with me. He then proceeded to say I did not have a reservation. Again, I showed him my reservation number and got this angry look on his face and he said, "can I have your ID?" Upon retyping my name correctly into the computer, he found my reservation. I proceeded to tell him that I noticed on the App that I was booked under the full cost rate and I should have been booked under the "points plus cash" rate. He then responded with "take it up with IHG." I said, "excuse me?" and he responded with "you'll have to take it up with IHG, I can't help you." I responded with "of course." This set the manager off. He then looked at me, raised his voice and said, "IT'S EITHER THAT OR YOU GET OUT OF LINE RIGHT NOW AND DON'T GET A ROOM AT ALL AND WE STILL CHARGE YOU THE HIGHER RATE!" I was stunned. 1. I couldn't believe that a manager thought it was appropriate to treat any customers in this manner no matter how stressful the situation was 2. I couldn't believe he was threatening to take "my room" away after standing in line for an hour waiting to check in 3. I am a Platinum Elite IHG member. Not that I expect any special treatment or anything, but seriously, he should be fired for talking to a customer this way (let alone a 62-year-old woman) I responded with "can I please just get my keys for my room. I have approximately three hours before I will be checking out and need to rest." He gave me the keys and sort of said with disgust "the elevators are that direction." That was the end of our conversation. I headed to elevator and found it broken/not working. This just added to my disbelief! (my room was on the 5th floor) Fortunately a couple was walking by and I saw they were headed down the long hallway and stopped at what appeared to be another elevator. I immediately headed that direction and we met on the elevator. They told me that their check-in experience was horrible too and how they too were directed to the malfunctioning elevator. It was just all so shocking. At this point, it was going on 2 am. I was checking out at 5:30 am to get back to the airport. IHG needs to suspend or fire this "manager" that was working the night of 8/15-8/16. IHG also needs to suspend or reprimand the desk clerk who thought her time was better served restocking the snack area instead of helping to check-in customers. This was an absolutely AWFUL experience. Thank you.
