It is a Cute sandwich place with outdoor seating. We did takeout and ordered at the counter and sat outside. We had a few of the sandwiches and mine was the plainest and not that special. I had the number 1- mozzarella & prosciutto. The cheese was pressed similar to our NY panini it was just ok. The other sandwich with the truffle sauce, cheese prosciutto was much better. We ordered another sandwich also with the pesto, tomato and prosciutto. The hot bread on the sandwiches was pretty fresh and good. Best deal in Milan. You have the option to getting the regular drink for 14 euros or large drink for 17 euros. So no brainer to go for large. Best part of the apretivo is the buffet offering so many delicious food. The hot food section was a hit for me, the chicken with creamed spinach and risotto was perfecto. I kept going back for more risotto and spinach. All the other offerings were good too, including their cold selection and pasta. They were very quick in refilling the food. If you plan on sitting outside, arrive early or else skip the wait and sit inside. read more

Cool area to hang out and people watch. The drinks were not cheap though considering that this is a very casual environment. Sitting outside can be a bit risky if people were smoking at the next table. But sitting inside is just a bit boring. I tried Spritz and a couple of other ones, I liked the one with the mint flavor which I forgot the name. I can't compare the Spritz here with other ones, so I can't say anything, but I didn't finish my drink. If my friends want to come here, I won't refuse. But I won't recommend. read more

I found Milan nightlife culture a little different than a lot of places. Clubs were packed on weekends by kids and for the most part a lot of the 20s+ crowd seemed to go out for aperitivo on the Friday or Saturday. Claudia (if you see this) is this common? While visiting Milan I dragged my friend out every night to go out and many nights we went out for drinks and this foodie buffet happy hour called aperitivo. The food is ok and some places were actually really good. A lot of places we went for Aperitivo were bars and lounges and most were ok but Spritz ended up being my favourite place. This includes Dolce and Gabbana Gold. The place was beautiful but it didn't have the same vibe as most places we went out for aperitivo. The atmosphere on the canal in the summer is pretty awesome, there are a lot of people walking around and for each bar, lounge they had tables setup outside were people could order drinks and walk inside to get food. Spritz has a nice atmosphere inside and the music seemed to be geared more towards hip-hop, r&b and top 40...minimal on the top 40 but it was there. The staff is friendly and drinks were pretty cheap compared to some of the other places we ended up going to. If you're in the Navigli you should drop by one night to check Spritz out. read more

We stopped here for aperitivo but it was towards of them ending it. Still, the food was decent and the drinks were so good. I got the strawberry spritz. They also have a bunch of $4 shots and a lot of drinks and cocktails to pick from. A small place so not good for big groups. read more

For an aperitivo place, Spritz is great-- fun atmosphere, good food and drink variety. Goes from 6PM-10PM. You pay 9 euros for your first drink and get an unlimited buffet with the price! Reasons it's great: --Fun atmosphere! They play upbeat music that always gets me in the mood to go out, and just lots of good vibes from people having a good time catching up with friends and hanging out. --Food- The food that's supposed to be piping hot is always piping hot. Good variety. Aperitivo is traditionally appetizers and finger food, but their pastas goes above and beyond. Also, there's always a mad rush for the nutella pizza as soon as it comes out. Just sooo heavenly. Also, they change it up every night so you'll get something new every time you come. For finger food and snacks, its top notch. --Drinks- lots of variety. and STRONG. Reasons I almost wanted to give Spritz a 3 star review: --Cramped. If you're trying to come with a big party, with lots of big and tall people... well, don't. Ideal for small groups, and please, leave the big boys home. --Drinks don't taste that good- yeah, they're suuuper strong, but when I ordered a fruity drink I was expecting something I'd enjoy drinking. Too strong. Some of my more faint hearted friends simply couldn't drink theirs. --Food- Lots of fried items and pastas, but not really any meat besides cold cuts if that's what you're looking for. Spritz brings back memories for me. This was the very first place I came to for aperitivo when arriving in Milan. Spritz used to be the go to place for my friends and I whenever we went out for aperitivo. I paid it a visit recently because my all time favorite, Momo was super crowded and I really didn't feel like waiting 15-20 minutes (but I should have) Spritz was able to seat my party of six right away. I usually get cocktails but I wanted to keep it simple and get vino bianco. The wine was okay but my friend complained how they gave so little. The aperitivo price went up, it is now 9 euros. The food downgraded a lot. I probably only ate pizza. I tried the grilled vegetables and sausage and it was awful. The sausage was dry and the vegetables seemed like they were outside for too long. It saddens me that the place I used to once love, is now a miss for me. read more

We were recently in Italy and stayed a couple of nights in Milan. We were walking in the canal area and by all the restaurants looking at what they all had for Apertivo. Apertivo is something special in Milan and I have not seen anything like it in the United States. After seeing the spread of food that they offered we decided to try Spritz and boy were we glad we did. The variety of cold and hot food was incredible. They had cold cuts, cheeses, breads, salads, roasted turkey, pizza, pasta, potatoes and desserts. I am sure I missed a lot but you get the idea. Solid aperitivo. Decent spread. Some dishes actually have real chunks of chicken in them. I get so excited when I see recognizable meat at an aperitivo. Convenient location. Has both Italian and American type of options.
