Heard about the sprouts $29.99 family deal and wanted to try! It includes 2 entrees and 2 sides of your choice. We got the grilled salmon and black garlic pepper shrimp with the sweet potatoes and mozzarella pasta salad. They weigh the amount of entree that is put in the platter and it felt like a decent amount of food. We had two pieces of salmon and about 10 pieces of shrimp for the entrees. We split it so it became about 4 meals. The salmon was a little dry so we had to add some sauce but the shrimp was nice and juicy. The sweet potatoes were as expected and simple without much flavoring but the pasta salad was very refreshing. Definitely would get this again for easy meal prep! read more

Helpful staff and store was clean and easy to navigate. I called ahead to see if they had eggs, to which they confirmed they did and a dozen were still sold at regular prices (considering a dozen averages $10 now with the avian flu causing egg shortages). I was able to pick up a few dozen eggs, but did see they were running low, so i'd recommend going in the morning before they sell out. I also love that they sell bulk items using eco-friendly bags. I found this store simple and less overwhelming than other grocery stores in the area, so I'll be coming here more frequently in the future. read more

Sprouts is my favorite grocery market-shopping experience in Irvine. The store is perfection. The food is beautifully presented and it tastes as wonderful as it looks. I have never had a bad experience in all the years I've shopped there from buying their fresh organic produce to their perfect rotisserie chickens. As well as their bulk items like lentils, peas, red beans, rice. ......all excellent!! But yesterday I had the best experience ever. I buy ham rings which I cut up and add to my slow cooker soups. Recently my favorite ham ring disappeared. It's been a good 4-5 month since I asked a person in the meat department what happened to these organic ham rings. He said they were discontinued. Yesterday I asked a new gentleman whose name is Manny and he's the "Meat Dept Mgr". He not only showed me where the ham rings now are found but was so delightful and funny that I'll be buying all of my meat from Sprouts going forward. MANNY you made my day...my year!!!!What a delight to have a thoroughly knowledgeable, motivated Meat Dept Mgr. During Covid I used Instacart. They were NOTORIOUS for hiring foreigners that could not speak English nor understood how to read food labels and shopper comments. I don't recall ever getting a correct order from Instacart. Now, post Covid, I order directly from Sprouts in Irvine, on Alton Pkwy for a curbside pickup. I'm hoping for a correct order now that we are dealing with store employees and those that speak English. No difference, orders through Sprouts are still incorrect and I will need to return to purchase items for my dinner. NOTE TO MANAGERS: This is your fail, not the employees. This is my second review. I've always loved this place -- good produce, good meat, good service, and decent price. But my last visit was extraordinary in that the service was out of this world. See, we LOVE the corn black bean red pepper salsa by Desert Pepper Trading Company. Sprouts is one of the stores that carry the product. Every time I'm at a Sprouts market, I make a point to pick up a jar (or two) (or three) because we eat it and use it in cooking all the time. Last week, when I was at this Sprouts store, I checked to see if they had any inventory of the product. Unfortunately, the salsa section was slightly in disarray, and I had to pull out different products off the shelf to see if there was any hiding in the back. That's when Carin, one of the store managers, came in to help. The long and short of it is that the store did NOT have the product at the time. Except, there was a Sprouts brand product ("Black Bean and Corn Salsa") that contained amost identical ingredients. I was willing to give it a try. That's when Carin told me to just take a jar and try it. She even took out a sharpie and wrote "do not charge" on the lid! I was FLOORED by this level of service. By the way, at the end of all this, Carin didn't even let me clean up the mess I had made. She said she would reorganize things in the area. Trader Joe's is typically my go-to grocery store because it's always been the most affordable from my experience. Sprouts is a bit higher in price, but I've always loved their buy n bulk sections. I usually purchase chia seeds, flax seeds, almonds, poppy seeds, etc. They have a wide selection of nuts, candy, rice, seeds, oats, etc. I especially loove their buy n bulk for spices and herbs! They even have it for loose leaf teas. These colder winter nights have had me craving chicken noodle soup recently, so I purchased some herbs from the buy n bulk section. It makes cooking sooo much more affordable and enjoyable, especially when it's not an herb/spice that you use often :) They also often have 72-hour sales, so I love stocking up on snacks during those times. Chips, coconut water, and dish soap are usually my go-tos when they have their 72-hour BOGO sales :) read more

lol the service here is always so bad. They always seem to be missing important items. If you're ordering for drive up, they will neglect to include obvious items (especially produce) out of pure laziness. The clerks tend to wait as long as possible before bagging your groceries, on the off chance that you'll bag the groceries yourself. They love watching my wife hold a baby in one hand and bag her own groceries in the other. Not sure how else I can convey how much I despise this location. Amie has a terrible attitude. I come here regularly and haven't had any problems until today. The customer in front of me was waiting for his items. She spoke to him. Everything seemed okay. It's my turn and she starts scanning my items but doesn't say anything. She finishes scanning and still doesn't say anything. She doesn't ask if I want bags or anything, instead she just starts to put them in bags and adds it to my total, in silence. So we're just standing there still in complete silence and I'm waiting for her to say at least say the total so i know when to pay but still nothing after what seems like forever. We're just standing there silently. So I ask her "Do I pay?" and she gets a nasty attitude and says "yea" very snappy and looks annoyed. ????? So I pay, she doesn't ask me if I want a receipt or say anything, I hold my bag open because I do want my receipt and in the bag. Still nothing said. I grab my groceries to leave, still nothing. What's with the hostility? This is very poor customer service. I don't know if I've ever been completely ignored while at a grocery store and then talked to like I'm bothering them when I ask when to pay. Especially after I just watched her speak with the person in front of me. I called management and they said they don't condone this behavior and they'll speak with her so I feel better at least knowing management is not okay with this. I love this place! I'm there all of the time, and I'm often there for a while when I go. The other day I had a liquid multivitamin to return because it said for women over 40. I walk in and, at the first register, there was a very kind and very pleasant gentleman that appeared to be more than happy to help. I got store credit, and then I was on a mission. My favorite ice cream used to always be there for me when I needed, but suddenly they are essentially gone... every time. There have been 3 occasions that I've walked in and there is only one left. I walk through the doors and go straight to ice cream and if there's only one left then I have to take it right then, and I end up with melted ice cream on those occasions. I don't remember how exactly it came about, but another WONDERFUL employee (this one a woman, with a ponytail and glasses, if I'm not mistaken-- I didn't catch a name--joined in on the interaction. Next thing I know she is scrounging around the back, looking for my favorite flavor. They didn't have it but they had the other flavor. I was a terrible brat but I wanted either flavor (again, I had grabbed the last box), so after she already went back and spent the time looking for me, I asked if she would mind going to the back and bringing a couple of the available flavor. She assured me that she too was more than happy to help. The aforementioned kind gentleman from before, his name is Ish (I hope I'm spelling that right ). So the next time I went in I decided to do self checkout. I had just barely started when who should * ,,,(-)* pop up(?) but my new friend, Ish. He approached me and passed me something. It took a second to realize what it was, and when I did, I was very appreciative and, frankly, excited because who doesn't like money (*)... I had left the store without my Sprouts shmoney/store credit and I didn't even know it! He said that because I come in so often that he just held onto it until he saw me next-- he's sooo niiice He's so nice that I shared my trauma from that day with him (I have zero friends so...), poor guy... but he was so nice to just listen to me. I mean, he was forced to hear/ to listen to it because we were at the register but his just saying "I'm sorry that happened to you," really impacted me. Finally, the last time I was there, Ish was looking over self checkout. Idk why but I love bagging my I own groceries. We said hi and then he set off the tend to the register. There was this lady--a little bit older-- that needed assistance at self checkout, and was just looking around for help. Asking aloud, "does anyone work here?." Then she kept looking at me, so I felt a sense of obligation to help. The register line was getting longer-- his may have been the only register open, at that time, and Ish was hustling--however there was no one else around at the time. I know he wishes he never told me his name ... I hated it but I had to. I called out his name and pointed at the lady. He gave me a nod. I started finishing up, and the next thing I know he is behind me and assisting the lady. He stepped away from the register, for a moment, to help the lady. I recognize and really appreciate that kind of service. That's what great service is. He's a man that cares about his job, his performance, and cares for other's. I'm very disappointed with a recent visit. We have been a customer in Irvine Westpark since they opened. Today I had to return a $5 mushroom which has gone bad. This particular cashier asked for a receipt which I did not have. After about 10 minutes she could not initiate a return wanted my driver license which I gave her finally a shift manger came and tried to initiate a return with no success. Eventually I had to buy an item for them to exchange the mushroom Again I must emphasize that my family loves to shop at sprouts with their selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Not only are groceries expensive as is, Rebekah charged for an extra $7 hami melon and a seedless watermelon when I specifically got the cheaper watermelon with seeds to avoid paying $8 for a watermelon! This I noticed only after I got home and checked the receipt, so I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth after also experiencing little to no help bagging items when there were other employees floating around. I don't mind bagging, but it doesn't go efficiently and when there are customers behind me, it's embarrassing to take a long time when someone could just walk over and help from the beginning. He would start one then in the middle start a different one, constantly dunking his hands in and out of produce. He threw together a sandwich for me that had literal chunks of avocado, forgot the bacon then added it to only one side.
