Not to mention the elementary school sized grill cheese I got which was soggy. Overall probably the worst $12.50 I've ever spent on a lunch! Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese?! YES! Durning the Star Wars celebration in Anaheim, boyfriend and I decided to eat at this Truck and wow! It was so good! Bread was very well grilled and cheese melty and cheesy enough I think those are words ha! I really should have ordered a second sandwich just to try something else I'm sure they're just as yummy!! I've seen the Spudrunner food truck at the Orange County Marketplace recently for a concert series they are having and after having there Irish fries I was hooked. Super nice guys working the truck and the great food is the reason I never visited any other food truck that was there. I've had a few different variations of their fries and two sandwiches over the last 5 weeks or so. Whatever I order my son gets the same thing. I love potatoes!! So when i heard that this cute little spud truck was going to be making a stop at Los Al DinDinaGOGO i was totally psyched to stop by and try something new! And with in luck my buddy in crime Fia R. said she wanted to go too. After reading a couple of glowing reviews about how yummi the Santa Fe and the Irish Spuds were i was drooling. Hurry up 7:30 so i can meet Fia!! When we got to the truck the line wasnt to bad. More people standing around and snacking on other foods while waiting for their number to be called. Their menu is pretty simple (Spuds Fries, Bakes Spuds and Grilled cheese and soup say waaaa!!) I kind of panicked on what to get. Hmmm i was more in a fries mood then grilled cheese and soup. So i decided to order the Santa Fe with Grilled Lime Cilantro Chicken for the protein (hey gotta feel like im eating simi healthy). I also noticed that they make their own lemonade (they also have strawberry and Blackberry lemonade) Placed my order and waited for my number to be called. (Tip: try to stay as close to the truck as possible because its hard to hear when they call out your number). The wait wasnt to long and in no time i was holding the holy grail of fries(Cheddar Cheese Blend, Cilantro, Fire Roasted Green Chile, Red Onion, Tomato, and Chipotle Ranch.) For the amount you pay for ($5.00 plus an extra $1.00 for the chicken) you get alot. More then enough to share with a friend! read more

My eyes probably got huge and glazed over when I saw Spudrunners last night at Din Din a Go Go. A gourmet FRENCH FRY food truck?! Hot damn, count me in! I couldn't decide between the Irish fries and the Santa Fe spuds, but I was really happy I didn't have to because my friend offered to get one and I would get the other and we would split it. I ordered the Santa Fe spuds without chicken (so, $5 instead of $6) and it's topped with green chiles, veggies, onions, cheese, and cilantro. It comes with a yummy chipotle ranch sauce. The peppers/chiles had a LOT of flavor, I had to sort of mix up the (huge) box of fries to spread them around, as they would have been too overwhelming to just eat as is. They did add good flavor, though. The onions and cheese were also... you know... onion-y and cheesey. Mine was more of a meal than the Irish fries in my opinion. The Irish fries are topped with cheese, onions, and bacon. HOWEVER, they were out of bacon. :( Understandable, we went kinda late and they were about to start closing up so that's our fault, I guess. Even so, the fries were still delicious. Just as fresh as ever, and they put extra cheese and onions on there to make up for the lack of bacon. My friend got regular ranch with them... oh man... so many carbs. I went to the gym right after, but it was so worth it. Went to food trucks on a Wednesday night and this truck was the first one I went to. I had the pesto chicken grilled cheese that had spinach, tomato and cheese. I got it without the chicken and it was so good to eat. The sour dough bread was toasted to perfection. I've been tracking down food trucks in my area for awhile now. There are few good brick and mortar options for lunch in my area. This was the 50th food truck I've tried. I tried their pesto chicken sandwich with fries. The pesto chicken sandwich was normal except for brie cheese on top. The fries were pretty boring. They have a wide variety of potato themed menu items, I should have tried those. Both items I tried were average, with the brie adding a nice kick. read more

Not only were the fries perfectly golden brown and crisp but the dudes who were running the truck were so nice to us! I was there with my boyfriend and another friend after ordering a regular order of fries we informed the chefs we were all about dipping sauces. They hooked us up with some amazing flavors to try. The standouts were sundried tomato, French onion, wasabi, and I can't believe I'm about to say this but baconaise (bacon flavored mayo!). Our friend also had the brie grilled cheese which I tried and was uber creamy. Then they treated us to a delicious raspberry drink on ice. Finally got to try my first gourmet food truck cuisine when I was pressed for time between classes at CSU Fullerton. This truck and the Barcelona truck are always there on weekdays. I wasn't in the mood for fries and their truck was looking kinda lonely in terms of business (I think most So Cal students gravitate towards tacos) so I decided to give them a try. I ordered a Grilled Cheese w/ Ham and Red Onion ($6.50, $5.00 for the sandwich, $1.00 for the ham, $.50 for the onion). Kinda pricey but I understand that food trucks have to pay for gas and upkeep. The sandwich was a mass of gooey, greasy goodness. I'm not sure what cheese they used but it definitely had more flavor than your run-of-the-mill cheddar or jack. All-in-all, I think next time I will try one of their specialty items as this sandwich, though it was satisfying in every regard, didn't strike me as being anything particularly special. This food truck was on my campus last night for and event. So, I tried the Santa Fe Fries. The food took a while, but it was oh so good when I got it. Love their wasabi dressing!!! Also, some of my friends had the grilled cheese and baked potatoes; got a thumbs up from them. The lemonade wasn't all that great. I confirmed Spudrunners for an event to sell food with 1500 people in attendance. This event was awhile ago but literally, I saw them on here and I just thought I had to share my experience. They double booked me and didn't even make the effort to call and tell me so I could find another person. When they were 30 minutes late, I called. They told me they were at another event and "sorry" but not sorry. When I started panicking, they laughed at me. Rude wouldn't even begin to describe these people. I am an event coordinator and told as many people as I could. Don't book this company if you actually plan events. They will drop you in a second and won't think twice. read more

We chose to eat there wile attending the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center. First off the fries were under cooked and mushy, though I ate them anyway because they were covered in cheese and bacon. The reason I give them one star is because of their service or should I say lack there of. There were three of us ordering and one of us still deciding what we wanted to eat when it was our turn at the window. The woman taking order was extremely impatient and rude. She made it a point to yell out to the rest of the line "I'm sorry for the weight guys will be with you in just a minute." Which in its self is not a terrible thing to say but it was how she said it, very condescending. I'm no stranger to food trucks, we hit the jamborees other and love Dogzilla and the Burnt Truck Oh but it's not over yet, she then over charged us, gave a receipt for $50 when we only ordered $32 dollars worth of food. When we asked about it she at first said it was correct but then when we did the math proved it was wrong. She brought the truck manager over to do the refund and the manager recharged us for the correct price but didn't do the refund, claimed they never charged the card. We told her that was incorrect because we were holding a receipt, proving that it was charged. She then started to argue with us over it (one of us being a retail manager) tried to explain that if the receipt prints the card has been charged. It was a big ordeal and argument that showed a total lack of professionalism on their part. We left after they "claimed" it was refunded but we will be disputing the charge if it shows up. All in all, very bad experience. Won't go there ever again. read more

Hot, fresh and full of flavor is how I would describe the Santa Fe fries. We ordered a variety of things from different trucks and the Santa Fe fries were by far the best thing we had. I wish I wasn't sharing with a group and could have eaten them all by my self. We also ordered a one of the chicken breast sandwiches and I would describe it as average. Tried this food truck while attending a conference at Anaheim Convention Center. Was extremely busy but they managed their time very well and we waited an appropriate amount of time. I had the tuna melt, garlic and Parmesan fries shared with my boyfriend, and he had the BBQ melt. Food was perfect amount just wished the fries would have been a little warmer! They're probably one of the more underrated food trucks out there. I see them at various events and they always have the shortest line (not that they have no business, but their line tends to be shorter than others). No fancy ingredients or Asian fusion here; just different takes on the humble potato and awesome grilled cheese sandwiches. Probably some of the friendliest food truck staff I've encountered as well. If there was one thing I wish they would add to their menu it would be a nice tomato soup (they currently offer a potato soup and a chili). We gave this truck a try when we were out at the Lake Forest Lanes food truck meet-up on Tuesday nights. Normally, this kind of food is NOT AT ALL what would appeal to me. But I was feeling quite in the mood for something junky, and french fries fit the bill perfectly. And the french fries are unbelievable. The perfect crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth inside hot salty goodness. At $4 for a basket of the regular fries, they are probably among the more expensive fries one can eat out of a truck. Would I buy them again--absolutely! We also ordered a grilled cheese--for the kids--and it was perfectly ordinary. I can't complain about anything, but it wasn't anything special either. The main problems were the sauces--we ordered two and they were just so-so. The chipotle didn't have much flavor or kick to it. The other one was so unmemorable that I don't even remember what it was (2 hours later). My other gripe was the lemonade we ordered. Not cheap, and 4 sips later I discovered that it was 2/3 ice. Oh well. The fries are definitely the star, so if that is what you are in the mood for then I doubt you will find better anywhere else. Get an order to eat in line while you get your main dinner elsewhere. read more

The menu has everything from gourmet grilled cheese to fully loaded fries and tons of condiments. Recommend the Irish Fries with the Garlic Chipotle Sauce and the Brie Spinach Chicken sandwich. I had the pleasure of going to the food truck festival at HB High School today. I kept walking around and checking out yelp for recommendations of places to eat. I stood in front of Spudrunners checking their reviews. I was a little turned off by the price for their Chilli Cheese Fries at $7.00. I would have preferred a $1.00 off the Fries. I ordered them for my son anyways. The guys are nice. The fries were supper yummy. My son did not want to share and he ate every last fry. My son loved the chilli and the sour cream. He wanted the fries all to him self. They get a four for the food and an extra star for their service. After searching for more food I came back for a loaded back potato with sour cream, butter, cheese, green onions and sour cream. Another smash hit. It was pretty good! It cost $5.00. OMG...this food truck is a guilty pleasure for me since i love french fries. The sauces are all amazing, you really need to try each one as they all have unique flavors. I ended up getting the Irish Fries which was delicious. My friend got the lobster salad sandwich which made me speechless due to the all the flavors surging in my mouth.
