Square each and every time have been punctual and if they quoted a full day but told you it should take half a day they pushed to get it done in the half day. They showed up at my old house and forgot one piece of furniture. They came to my house and the guy in charge had to yell at the other guy to get off his phone twice, come on big boy we have work to do get off your phone. They brought all of the furniture in and I actually got pushed into the wall once with a dresser and then almost hit with part of a mattress. They hit my wall and took the paint off. I just moved in and I need to get a née shirt and the guy came in and asked to use my rag to wipe his hands it was my red shirt and I'm like Um this is my shirt. I found the nuts and bolts outside on the driveway. They stayed in my home for like 3 hours they said which could have easily been 2 if they didn't stop to talk about how to fix the couches they're the one that took them apart and got off the phone. read more

Beware of Square Cow Movers!! Our entire complex was remodeled and the residents were forced to allow Square Cow to move our belongings. We were forced to allow them to take our belongings and lock them up in a storage unit that we were not allowed to access. After two months of us staying in another unit in which we were provided cots, a television, cooking and eating utensils, and linens our belongings were dumped back into the remodeled apartment. Every single piece of furniture was damage, boxes were rummaged through, and things were stolen. We fought and fought but failed to be reimbursed for anything. Any negative responses we don't need your two cents. If someone has something productive that can help us....please reach out. Keep in mind the apartment management didn't care, Square Cow management did nothing, and the Fair Housing did nothing. read more

Just leaving now @ 1030 They stop in parking lot for a while before they came out. Plus when they get at gate they stopped again for a while. I parked a crossed the street waiting and watching them. I had to call them to see why they didn't move out yet. The white guy said he was talking to their boss about a job new you. You on my time using my time talking, charging me for time talking to your boss that is unacceptable. Arrived at my place 10:50 I was two cars in front. I watched them drove. They drove slow. There were no car in front of them in the left lane. All of a sudden, They went behind a large car dealer truck to hide to intentional go slow when there were no car in the left lane or in front of them. I watched all of this in my mirror. They were stalling for time to charge me more money. No mask worn. No social distancing. No tools.... How? The lady who made the appointment said they will have tools to unassembled or assemble things for moving. How are you a moving company and you don't have tools. Only 3 glass and dresser wrap. Nothing else. Everything got their hands and sweat all over. Smh. They didn't know what they were doing. .how to move furniture. If they had wrap my sofa it would be able to move out door easily The drive to my place is 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. Surprisingly, There were no traffic on the road. I drove in front of them and I don't know if they recognized my car... but i had to stop in the road few times just to see what holding them up. They drove 20mph slow snail just to make up time. We selected Square Cow for our 3-mile move in The Woodlands. The crew was somewhat inexperienced and the crew chief was absent during most of the move. They also did not advise us until the morning of the move that we would need to pay an additional charge of $197.50 if we wanted them to be liable for "replacement cost" (less a $300 deductible) for any damage. (Otherwise the state mandated 60 cents per pound limitation would apply). We elected the additional coverage. The move went OK -- UNTIL we discovered our $3,500 king size mattress was irreparably damaged. (I am not certain of the precise root cause, but was told by the mattress company that it was left too long in an unsupported vertical position). At the time, EVERYONE at Square Cow said all the right things ("we'll make it right", etc.) and they provided a claim form. We did not get upset, but instead told them we realize it was not intentional and take them at their word they will make it right. Our experience with Square Cow then took a turn for the worse -- much worse. After six weeks (with occasional requests for status updates), we finally got a letter advising us that "...damages are a natural part of the business". They also falsely claimed they "discovered" we did NOT elect the replacement value option (which in fact was unquestionably documented). They included a check for $160 as a "reasonable and equitable resolution" -- which I returned certified mail with a demand letter It was only after posting a (harsher) initial review here on Yelp and submitting a formal complaint to the state that my phone calls were returned. In the end, Square Cow agreed to what is arguably a reasonable settlement ($2,100) -- but I was still out $1,400 to replace a 5-year old mattress. To their credit, I had the check within a few days and avoided the time and hassle of litigating in small claims court. As I told the Square Cow rep, where they really dropped the ball was how they handled a perfectly legitimate claim. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. All that said, the moving business is just sketchy overall. Would any other company have handled the situation any better? Who knows? My advice: 1) get EVERYTHING in writing -- esp. any reps made if something is damaged; 2) confirm what is included/excluded in the quote; 3) PAY for the replacement cost option; 4) Take pictures throughout the move -- and especially of damaged items; 5) Do not accept a low-ball settlement (and do not cash the check!) read more

DO NOT USE! They never returned my dresser (was part of a set), a valuable large/rare metal mandala mirror & a standing fan. When I called to report missing item, I was told they would call me back and they never did. They broke one of my TV's (showed it to me on the van), two sides of my antique China cabinet broken off (can only be repaired professionally), white vanity/desk's leg wobbles, paint was scratched off & black marks on top & side, scratched finish on rocking chair, ripped bottom of my couch, broke 30 year old Correlle dishes, broke front of wooden make-up/jewelry set up w cabinet, drawer & swivel beveled glass mirror-it was broken along cabinet door along mirror all the way through. 72 inch cat tree broken-top shelves. The movers carried everything up on dollies without protection & piled things directly on top of furniture legs, etc. which put more weight on furniture which caused a lot of the damage. I provided them with before & after pictures with claim forms. It took them 5 months to give me a settlement & that was after calls (was told "UP TO 3 months") which was only $350 w no letter or how they came to such a small amount. To tell you the truth, I am shocked to see ANY bad reviews of the Square Cow Movers out of Spring Tx. I had them unload 2 U-haul storage lockers into their trucks & then unload the trucks into my new house on July 30th 2018. There were 4 of them, and it did take them 6 hours to complete the job from start to finish, but I don't consider that as moving 'slow'. If I had to do this all day, everyday, I can guarantee you I wouldn't be trying to set any land speed records either. That's how you throw out your back...or pull a muscle...or twist an ankle. So I'm thinking that the people complaining about how 'slow' they are have probably never done any heavy lifting for a living a day in their life. What I witnessed was them wrapping furniture in moving blankets that I didn't ask them to wrap. (no extra charge for the blankets, by the way) I saw them treating items with kid gloves that I would have been tossing around. I watched them act like they were carrying cases of dynamite that were really just boxes of old socks. My wife and I actually laughed at one point because they were being so careful with an item that we had discussed throwing away prior to moving! Every sentence began with 'Sir' or 'Ma'am' Every item was placed exactly where we wanted it. They claim that they put a small dent in our back door when they brought in a couch, but no matter how much they tried to point out the dent to me, I couldn't see it. (nor has anybody else that has come over) But they still knocked off some $$$ from the original quote due to the 'Phantom Dent' And before they left they asked if there was anything else we wanted them to move. I moved with Square Cow in September 2019. The experience was terrible with Aaron lecturing me about everything, when he could have been working. He yelled at me about sending monitors out to the truck, when it was one of his workers. His dolly left stains all over my closet carpet. When finishing the unloading he started getting anxious about getting back in time, so I trusted him that the trucks were empty. Now I realize that I'm missing many items! There had to be 3 or more boxes left with shoes, clothes and art supplies as well as an expensive pole. Most of my furniture has scratches, gouges and dents from that move. If I could give a zero I would. I scheduled a move 2 weeks ago. We are on the third floor of an apartment. We are new to the area and have no help. We have some very heavy furniture and itsjust myself and my husband. I was told we would be a a first in truck. We were given a time between 10am or earlier and 8 pm or later. The guy on the phone made it sound like it would be mid afternoon depending on route. We waited all day long on Saturday to hear from them. I made a call around 2 asking for an update. I was told it would be a few more hours. It is now 9:17 pm, I have received no call. We have lost hope. So Angry, upset and mostly disappointed. We were looking forward to moving into our new home. Jason was great! Completely redeemed the company. There was a stop that was supposed to be a part of the move, the first 2 guys took so long we didn't get it done. He came out himself with another guy and moved everything in less than an hour. He was extremely polite and professional. 2 of the movers were complaining the entire time. One man dropped a weight set and damaged the new front door and the Bow Flex. 3 of our dining room chairs were damaged. These 2 movers were careless, dragging furniture, dropping boxes, etc. One guy kept talking about his recent incarceration, which we felt was a form of intimidation. The other 2 workers were polite and professional! We felt obligated to tip all 4 when only 2 deserved our gratitude. We filed a claim and was sent a check for $375. One dining chair was $325!? They are priced very fair, their service is impeccable, they protect your home as they are moving your furniture out by covering your wood stair railings and exterior door jams with blankets- and they wrap your furniture- pictures- exercise equipment - pool table, whatever- as if it were their own move. I had a great experience with the team that came to unpack my upack. The only issue I had was my walls going up the stairs have some damage from them not covering it initially and the carpet. I hired SC and told them I needed packers and movers. They sent me three young boys who packed a few boxes and threw everything else in a pile in my storage unit. I could not watch them the whole time and did not know what they put on the truck. When I arrived at the storage unit I watched them roll thousands of dollars worth my paintings on a flat dolly stacked on top of each other, unwrapped. Two of the canvases are beyond repair. My $2k antique mirror placed on the cement leaned against a wall. The corners ruined. My music equipment hanging off the top heap. A bowling ball thrown on top of it all! NOW unpacking it to move in my new home, and my key board was missing. They found it in their warehouse a month later. On top of that they charged me $1600 to move into a 10x12 storage unit. Everything valuable to me has been haphazardly handled. When I called to talk to the manager the first time, he said he would look into it the issue. They showed up ready to get moving! They quickly wrapped a few pieces of furniture to protect it from getting banged up and then started the lifting. We moved out of a 2nd floor apartment and into a 3rd floor apartment, so there were a lot of stairs that day! The guys were quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this company to others looking for a moving company! I have two suggestions. 1) they should update their discount information on Villasport's website. They ended up allowing me to use it but apparently it was out of date and created a little confusion. 2) I would also suggest they call the evening before to confirm your appointment on moving day. First time I have used movers and I will only use these guys for any future moves! Ken responded quickly and talked through all that I needed to know and answered all my questions! I was emailed helpful documents and an accurate quote. On the day of my move, I received a call to provide me a time that they would arrive and they were 5 minutes early! They started off great...and just kept getting better! I walked through the property with Ken to point out the stuff to move while Chris prepared the place with padding on the door and running clothes. Then the fun began... They moved so quickly, even running to and from my house and the truck. My house was packed up in their truck in no time! And they even wrapped tables and added extra cushions to everything! Simple pricing and quote. # of trucks + # of Guys = $/hour. Simple easy to understand. We moved with Ray, Louis, Jeffvan & Demery. All of them were polite, caring and FAST. Like another yelper mentioned literally running. They were picking up things on their own that would have taken my husband and I to lift...awkwardly. I felt bad not helping but they were experts; wrapped, tapped and padded almost everything. Way beyond my expectations. Claim check for under $400 BOUNCED! Move damage was over near $7,000. 23 page claim placed with them documenting everything and following their precise instructions. Damaged front door of my brand new construction home, hole punctured in large art canvas, lost a major piece to my king bed frame (they could not assemble it), deep scratches on front of my 3 month old stainless refrigerator, gauges on dining table and bench, installed water lines wrong for washing machine and scratched up walls in my brand new home. Claim process is a joke. I called 3 times. Finally after 90+ days they issue a check. I deposit it and it bounced. Called a 4th time today and they don't know why...I booked them based on reviews here. They are absolutely horrible and I paid the $300 for move insurance. Complete joke. I strongly doubt they will reissue my check. Looking into reporting them to TX a licensing agency today. Update 3/13/18 second check received with the $12 bank fee. They did call today to see if I got the check but not once offered to discuss the actual reason for this review or any of the unresolved damage. read more
