There is plenty of wood throughout, but enough steel to give it more of a trendy feel. They offer massages, manicures, and there are pedicure and hair dye stations tucked away, so if you require those services, you're not parading through in front of all the guys getting their hair cut in the 8 or 10 seats in the center of the shop. My stylist was very personable, but not like the "fake" nervous chat you get from someone who just graduated. You can get in and out within 20 minutes or so, and they really do a great job. The cuts can be pricey ($25 or more), but since it was opening week, they knocked it down to $18. Definitely going back. I want to keep my man-card, so I'm still on the fence with the massage and the pedicure, but I'm all in for another cut!

I was able to view, select, and make the appointment through their website which I appreciated. I received a text confirmation with a link to change the appointment if needed. We arrived a bit early and there was a steady stream of people coming and going. The first thing we noticed was the DOG!! Are you even at a barber shop if there is no dog? He was the best boi! He got all the pets and when he was tired of that he sat at the front door, stuck his nose out of it and just stayed there. There is a small game room with arcade games, some mens magazines to read and penny candy! My son has super thick hair, and a super big cowlick. He is in JROTC so he has to have a regulation haircut and a lot of the time it doesn't come out great looking. Tiffany took her time and made sure it looked fantastic. I asked for a trim around the bottom of my head and the first thing the barber did was to zip those clippers up the side of my head and cut my hair off down to the skin. I kept telling the barber not to take so much off and the barber kept saying, "It will be okay. It will be okay. I promise. I promise." They don't realize that older people want their hair longer because their hair is thinning. When a person sits down in the chair the first thing the barber should do is ask, "How do you want this cut?" And cut it the way they are told. NOT THE WAY THE BARBER WANTS IT CUT. Skin-headed. These barbers want your hair to look the way THEY WANT IT TO LOOK. Not the way you want it cut. As a result, I ended up with the worst looking haircut I have ever had in my life. It is so short, that it sticks out all over my head like Alfalfa. I told the barber I wanted my hair long in the back and blocked at the bottom. I don't think this barber knows what that means. The back of my head is scalped down to the skin from my neck up to the top of my head. My head is so cold I have to wear a knit cap to keep my head warm. INSIDE MY HOUSE! I won't mention the barber's name. I just won't go back now that my hair is shorter than it was in the military boot camp. The barbers at this shop should learn that older men don't always want their hair cut like a radical teenager or someone in the military. All I can say is, this area is hurting now that the Squire's Barber Shop has closed. I would give this barber shop zero stars if I could.
