In my opinion, a pastor's character should be reflected not only in their sermons, but in how they treat their own family. For years, I have witnessed a pattern of behavior that appears controlling, intimidating, and harmful toward close family members, including incidents that have required police involvement. The emotional impact on those involved, including a child who has been exposed to ongoing conflict, has been heartbreaking to see. Faith leaders are called to be examples of humility, kindness, patience, and self-control. When someone's actions consistently contradict those values, it raises serious questions about their fitness to lead a congregation. People should carefully consider whether the person preaching God's word demonstrates those same principles when no one is watching.
