More importantly, it is not an ethnic social club like the Greek parishes in which I grew up. Holy Trinity is the oldest Orthodox Christian parish in the Nassau/Suffolk region. The parish is very committed to the proclamation of the Gospel. The parish has grown very diverse over the years because of this outreach effort. If you are interested in joining the New Testament Church and to commit to a life of sacrament, prayer, Scripture, and Tradition, you would love Holy Trinity. The Divine Liturgy (Eucharist) is celebrated every Sunday and feast day at 9:30 AM. Please be aware that only Orthodox Christians are allowed to partake of the Eucharist and other sacraments because of the ancient canons, but others are welcome to receive a blessing. Coffee hour follows the Divine Liturgy every Sunday. Vespers (evening prayer) are served every Saturday and on the eve of feast days at 6 PM. Soaring high ceiling with exposed wood beams, beautiful stained glass windows, large stone wall behind the alter. Terrific sound system too. The outside grounds are well kept and manicured with statues and gardens all around. I normally prefer the older classic structures but I do like this one. As I had gone out at a uye the night before and was still feeling pretty crusty and hungover from the night's debauchery I somehow felt that me being in a church was just not right. Ha!

A person I met presented herself as the contact person who handled rentals of this church's hall…read morearea. Unbeknownst to me she was only a member of the church and rented the hall for me but in her own name. She received my deposit back and has went missing. I have contacted the church who haven't been helpful in resolving this issue. I will continue to write bad reviews until someone takes responsibility for this. I need my money and am now forced to take them all to court. Not what I would expect from a church. Rather than accept the actions of the member and give me my money (and handle the problem with their member)...they have attempted to remove themselves from the situation altogether. All this for $125.00. I wonder if they know that when she handles these rentals Connie Tomlinson tells the people they bring/drink alcohol?? Now that I know she isn't the rental contact...I am sure the church officers have no idea...because I was shocked myself. Make it right Trinity-St. Johns Episcopal WWJD??
