We've stayed here many times when catching the ferry to and from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. It isn't the Marriott so don't expect anything too fancy.
The rooms were always nice and clean. The walls can be a bit thin though.
The bar is small but it's a good place to,pop in for a drink to wind down from a long day of driving.
The restaurant serves a great breakfast but the supper was lacking vegetarian options (which, sadly, is the case in many places across NL). I believe the options were vegetarian stir fry, nachos and fries. Although, as I said, this is common across Newfoundland, I think it would be beneficial for them to add some more since they are one of the only hotels that tourist can stay at when they arrive off of the boat.
A huge selling point for us was that they are pet friendly.
Finally, the staff is amazing. They'Re Newfoundlanders so of course they are! Very polite, friendly and willing to help with what ever you need! read more
