They upgraded the pumps a while back, so now you can scan your Tesco Clubcard at the pump and save time. One comment I do have, is that this place always seem to be REALLY busy. I guess it's because it serves the whole Chineham/Lychpit/Old Basing area. So if you've left it to the last minute to get fuel, and you're in a hurry, you're probably going to be frustrated when you see the queues.

Having a petrol station in the village is in itself a real asset, but unlike many such places, it's not unfairly priced either in terms of the fuel or the shop. When you consider that there's a Tescos Express open long hours just round the corner, the shop itself is pretty well stocked with more than just essentials plus seasonal stuff such as garden toys and BBQs in the summer. The shop is always spotlessly clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, but a really nice touch is the give a penny, take a penny pot on the counter for those annoying times when you go over by 1p when filling up your car! Great idea.

Reasonably priced, they're quite open and honest about what needs doing, and if it a job doesn't need doing straight away they'll tell you that! Was very dubious went i first went here, but have returned now 3years running and taken my car to have things other than the MOT done, would definetly recommend them!

However there is a really good car wash which is reasonably priced and counts for clubcard points to! The petrol station shop is small but has all the basics for when you forget that Tesco shuts early on a Sunday!! Very friendly staff, always service with a smile. It's always worth while looking out for the markdowns in the shop anytime after 6pm, particularly on flowers as they tend to reduce things much more than the main store (we're talking a bunch of flowers or 18p!).
