Very few church members who know me from the congregation accept me on social media and keep in ...touch and stay real with me today. Others have actually blocked me after I said Merry Christmas to them! Just absolutely STUNNING AND SHOCKING! I can't understand HOW this church and Martha's family advertises relationships ...and a sense of solid Christianity but then go ahead and kick me out of the church by actually calling the cops on me, ...pretending they don't even know me, and completely ignoring me when I've tried to say hello to them. These people were VERY mean to me, even while attending their youth group services during the late 90s. Mary and Martha's churches both also have huge reputations for asking people for money, as they both live lavish, luxurious lives. This is not a true "spirit of family" church. This family never forgave me as Jesus did. Instead, this church family called the police on me, a helpless female with a handicap who was looking for a support system since my kids got taken away.

Men & Women pastors, members of all ages, a plethora of programs, a Monday night service for young adults, a gorgeous courtyard, a great Jr High and Sr High program (probably about 100 students total), close to lots of fun on Park Ave, traditional and contemporary services, a great choir, great preaching, a healthy amount of parking, lots of mission work, a separate service in a lower-income part of Orlando. Lots of great things going on at this growing and open-minded church. Personally, I wish that there were more people closer to me in age (28). But other than that, this is a great place, especially if you're looking for a more traditional looking & sounding church (classical music) that is also open-minded and open and inclusive to all.

To begin with, Journey Church is a pretty big church with lots of visitors. They have plenty of parking and there are volunteers directing traffic. There is a tent for new visitors with lots of information. I got there while worshipping was happening and I felt the spirit through their songs. I loved how at home I felt by this. Immediately after it Pastor JJ Vasquez started preaching and, wow! He is funny, informative about the word, and keeps you fully engaged.

Awesome church! I haven't actually been to a normal service on Sunday, but I have just completed…read moremy first year of BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). They host the men's BSF class for Orlando. We meet there, in the main sanctuary, on Monday nights and then break into small groups for a while. We finish in the sanctuary for the lecture and then get the notes & lesson for the next week on our way out. It's a great way to study the bible. It's an interdenominational group of guys, in fact only a small percentage of them actually attend First Baptist of Winter Park for normal worship. I plan to go to a normal service this summer, during our off season. BSF runs during the school year and they provide free day care while we are in the main session. They have children's leaders that teach the kids of all ages the same lesson that we study, just in a different way. There's no excuse not to do BSF. They have classes in every major city all over the world so if you travel for work, or if you are on vacation, you can just email the class administrator ahead of time and they will set you up with a small group. It's crazy, you do the same lesson where ever you are. The organization was founded by women and is still mostly women, so there are plenty of options for the ladies that are interested. Child care is provided and they have both daytime and night classes in just about every city. First Baptist Church of Winter Park has hosted the men's class here in Orlando for over 14 years! They are great. If you are looking for a solid church, with good leadership, check out First Baptist of Winter Park.
