According to its faith statements It remains conservative Baptist/revivalist in theology and social teaching, which is essentially unchanged. My wife and I attended it for nostalgic reasons several years ago and found it has layered on top of this a typical modern American Evangelical multi-campus megachurch ethos. Predictably, everything in its "liturgy" is loud, thin, and modern, especially the music (the congregation used to use a hymnal and sing in four-part harmony). It needs to get with the universal program of white churches, though, and import more smiling people of color to make it visibly Christian.

This church is deeply involved with the Milford Community, asking for volunteers to assist the neighborhoods and city events at every opportunity. They also express compassion for attendees of the church. Pastor Rich and Linda LaBelle take the time to get to know each member without intruding on their privacy. This atmosphere trickles down through other staff and members as well. You can attend church without worry if you meet some high standard of dress or do not fit the typical church attendee profile that is so prevalent in northern Assembly of God Churches. You can feel comfortable being whom you are. The church services are less formal than churches that stick to scripted program. This allows the services to be flexible and departs from the idea that a service is constrained by a fixed itinerary. While doing this, the preaching and teaching is not watered down and is consistent with A of G beliefs and practices.
