What I didn't like was the management, they are demeaning and not very helpful. There were four middle school associates and only two of them worked hard. Guess what, the two that didn't work hard got promotions, how does that make any sense. I taught my own class, subbed other classes on my off period, had lunch, bus and after school duty as well. The other associates were managements favorite and they did nothing. I am a firm believer that if you work hard you deserve the promotion, not the other way around. Overall, this school system is terrible. I highly suggest that you don't work or bring your children there.

Now if you had gone to Chelsea High School like I did, you'd definitely think that the architects…read moreof the school are some of the biggest morons ever. This is a new school, completed in 1996. The design- there are two towers, designated a red tower and a green tower, and each is four-stories high. In between is a "connector" that joins the two tower together, and this is only two stories high. That means that if your next class is on the 4th floor of the green tower and you're on the 4th floor of the red tower, you'd have to go down to the second floor, go through the connector, then up the stairs to the green tower in 5-mins time frame. (I don't know if I was cursed or what but I have classes like that all four years.) Now with a student population of around 1500, there sure is heavy traffic at all times. Who are these architects kidding?? Do they live in Boston??!! Only after I'd graduated that they have an addition to the side and also repartitioning the existing building, which would help to accomodate the general flow of traffic and the student population more. Aside from that, I've met a great few influential teachers here, and no doubt, some bitchy ones too.
