When I was a little I went to the private school at St. Joseph Academy and twice a week we went to church here during school...my favorite days. It was beautiful inside....candles, stained glass, lots of gold and amazing alter now it look like they were either robbed of those things or they took them out so they would not be robbed. 5 stars as a kid 1 star 1 week ago SOOOOOO sad.

I have been going to this church for decades. I enjoy going there. Father Martin is the best. He has such a cheery disposition.

It's newspeak, but hey let's make everything not politically correct a thought crime! It's a common tactic to speak as if the reader shares your same opinion by wording your statements with; WE, US, COMMUNITY, in order to give creedence to your drivel, most simple people will absorb that subconsciously, whilst the sophisticates amongst us will see through such ploy. Such is the case of Secret S. stating that the "this community thinks of them" The real crime is the bullying that's happening below me. I'm not religious at all, in fact I disdain organized religion, but what I hate even more are people who try and stifle freedom, free-thought and use political correctness as a weapon to accomplish their tyranny. That freedom of speech but not ignorance had me rolling on the floor, if there weren't freedom to be ignorant, 90% of us would be criminals, have you talked to people lately, Ignorance is their common thread. In many movies, the dystopian future were mainly depicted as right-wing neo-conservative religious types, but I'm seeing the opposite; The oppressors suppressors of free thought/will are a group many dub "The gay gestapo" which oppress/suppress, bully and control others using political correctness. I have been waiting a few years to share my story about this preschool, but I feel the time is…read moreright and other parents have a right to know the cover ups and mishandling at the hands of Mountain View Church/Christian Preschool. My oldest son started at MtView when he was two years old. When he was in Kinder he came home with abrasions (red marks) and hand looking marks on his upper arm. When I questioned him about them, he mentions that Mr. Andrew his teacher at the time "picked him up off the floor by his arm" to remove him from the classroom leaving the marks on his arm. When I brought my concerns to their director she assured me she would investigate the situation before I make the call to Fontana PD and CPS. She wanted to handle the matter privately and in house. My husband and I agreed. The teacher that did this to my son admitted to leaving these marks on his body. He was very remorseful and asked us not to report him. We felt he was genuine in the matter but to this day I feel I failed my son and should have called CPS since that is the protocol for suspected abuse of a child. I felt this was an isolated incident and we did our best to move past it and the teacher was removed from my son's class. I also decided to enroll my youngest son at MtView and yet another incident occurred with him. He also came home with abrasions on his arm, his forearm. I was furious as you can imagine. I let them know I would be calling CPS immediately. But again, before I did they wanted to discuss the matter with me before I made the call. My son pointed out a teacher that he said was "mean" to him. He was having tantrums nearly daily and hated going to this daycare. I questioned what was going on, they were calling almost everyday because he was having major tantrums at his daycare. This was not typical of his day-to-day behavior. Something was occurring that was triggering such outburst from my child. The daycare never communicated any prior incidents until I noticed his injuries and the tantrums worsened. Once I met with the director and teachers they all claimed he received these injuries from a fellow student, which can be a possibility but given our history I do not believe the findings of their investigation as to how my son received these injuries. Again, I felt I should have called CPS on them. They convinced me to solve the matters in house and to refrain from following the law when child abuse is suspected. Once my son was no longer attending MtView the behavioral tantrums and issues were nonexistent. He was not displaying any tantrums like they mentioned he was having at the preschool. Today, my son is thriving in his environment and elementary school. Since I felt I failed to protect my children when they were attending this daycare, I felt the least I could do is try to warn other parents of what occurs at this establishment and the lengths they will go to silence parents and to convince us to not report the abuse that has and I'm sure still is occurring at this preschool. If I could change anything from the past it would be to immediately report the injuries that my children endured at hands of this preschool. It's never okay to bring your children home injured from where you left them with the assumption they are in trusted hands. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a preschool/daycare and regret every decision I made in trusting them with my kids. Never allow someone to convince you otherwise of doing the right thing. No child deserves to endure such abuse regardless of the situation!

The constant requests for money during Mass are excessive and uncomfortable--being asked multiple times in a single service feels more like a fundraiser than a place of worship. It takes away from what the Mass is supposed to be about. On top of that, the services consistently run much longer than they should. The pacing feels unnecessarily slow, which makes it difficult to stay engaged and leaves you wondering why it's taking so much longer than other churches. The announcements at the end don't help either. They tend to drag on and focus on events that most people clearly aren't attending, which only adds more time to an already long service. It would be far more respectful of people's time to keep these brief or share them elsewhere. Another issue that shouldn't be overlooked is cleanliness. The pews are often not clean, which is surprising and honestly off-putting in a place that should be well cared for. Overall, this church seriously needs to reconsider how it uses people's time and attention during Mass. Right now, it feels disorganized, overly focused on money, and lacking in basic upkeep. Please save your time and money and go to a better, cleaner, church

So kind and gracious and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity shown by Mary Bette and one of her fellow greeters/porters. I felt like I was always one amongst them. After mass I was greeted by a number of parishioners and ministers who showed me great kindness and hospitality too. One of the best church experiences I've ever had. This was a special celebration of the 25th silver jubilee of ordination to the priesthood of the very beloved pastor in the presence of the bishop of the diocese.
