The cafe also has an imaginative menu of snacks and meals. Exeter's fab radio station - Vibraphonic, of which we should be proud - is run from here too. As a gig venue it is fairly small so doesn't attract huge names, although it has the advantage of being 'intimate' and I saw the Ting Tings here in the summer!

There are also plenty of shorter courses (e.g. patisserie, knife skills), and lots of people I've met have been back time after time. The location is beautiful - idyllic countryside where you get woken up by sheep bleating in the morning. I also thoroughly recommend Ashburton's accommodation - it's clean and cosy, and the breakfast is AMAZING!

It is the old cemetery that is worth a visit there are two…read moregraves worthy of note, the first is the Singer Mausoleum. Considering Isaac Singer (he of Singer Sewing machine fame) had 22 children and died worth several billion, it is a modest tomb. (see my photo) The second is that of Skene Craig - one of the Founders of Melbourne in the State of Victoria Austrralia,who was the first postmaster general & who planted the first vines there. He married Frances Zenobia St Aubyn of the family on St Michael's Mount.(see my photo) If you go to Oldway Mansion in Paignton (see my review) afterwards, you can see the magnificent Singer Family home being converted into luxury flats (April 2013) but hurry, it will soon be locked off to the public

They've always been friendly helpful and the training has always been relaxed and of an extremely high standard. I've done my HGV training in Exeter with FCD for my rigid and my artic and to add to the hat trick my driver cpc. It was a lot harder then I thought it would be, however, my instructor was so relaxed and informative that it allowed me to remain calm and focus on my driving and tests. Highly recommended hgv driver training in exeter. In fact I'm considering adr training, and after that pcv training, for either my full size coach licence or some minibus training. The training was really affordable and enjoyable.

The training was very personal to my needs and the service was brilliant. I have been back to FCD for my C category Rigid licence and my C+E Articulated Lorry Training. I could not recommend a better driver Training school to anyone. they are definitely the best. Their passion, and enthusiasm is first class. Needless to say with my expert trainer I passed all vehicle category's 1st time. A half days training for my B+E car test then a weeks training for my Artic and Rigid. They're the best.
