I have attended this church for over 16 years and have enjoyed the many opportunities I've had to…read moreserve God there. I appreciate the former pastor for all he did for my family and the opportunities to grow in my walk while he was our pastor. I am looking forward to the great things that are in store for RCWC under our new pastor though. We are so blessed to have him and his family with us. His messages are never boring and easy to understand. I have learned so much from him already. I also know that he and his wife will be there for us whenever we need them. So thankful to have them there with us.

But when two attendants left partway through his sermon, he began shaming them and accusing them of being moved by the devil to not listen to the Truth. Yes, folks, in a sermon about how Grace saved us from the ways of the Old Testament, when people were stoned for disobedience, he verbally stoned members of his service for their actions. He made an assumption about why they left, blamed it on the devil, and publicly shamed them. Perhaps one of them became ill, causing them to leave. Perhaps they had an emergency to tend to. Perhaps they left ten minutes into the sermon because their ears hurt (as mine did) from the pastor yelling at us through a sound system that was much too loud. I am not surprised that the congregation contained only about a dozen people. I will never go back. And, on behalf of Christians everywhere, I would like to apologize to the people who exited the service early. You did not deserve to be shamed or accused or being moved by the devil. You deserve Grace just like everyone else.
