However, inside it has a pleasant feel to it, a very large auditorium and good facilities. There is usually a good range of performances; touring west end shows, orchestral concerts, comedians etc. Tickets can be expensive, but I think that is the case with most theatres these days. At the moment they are building an extension to the theatre which will house an arts centre.

The lead roll of Alan Strange was played by Stanley Eldridge, who without question gave stunning performance alongside David Morley as the psychiatrist Martin Dysart. We recommended the production to our guests who were visiting from London at the time and they said it was outstanding and rivalled anything they had seen in the West End. The theatre is small and intimate, but full of atmosphere for it. I'd recommend it highly!
