Just left Q Station when they weren't…read moreopen for lunch and told me they were booked for dinner... but heading toward Westhampton we didn't have to wait... Not when some ladies were holding signs telling us they had cooked lunch and were open for business at the St Paul Ame Zion Church! Slowed down, pulled in and checked out the scene. It seems these fine folks come in from Brooklyn (the pastor and his wife) and hold church services, and today they were fundraising. For the bargain price of $13 one can have an old fashioned church cooked lunch and who would miss it? Henry welcomed me and my good friend down to the kitchen and we saw serious cooking going on. Definately went with the fish.. though all is fried.. the lesser of two evils.. lol No chicken for me.. but my friend loved it. Soda and cake came with it.. lol.. No soda for me either... though my friend has no problem with sugar water.. haha lol...... I suppose I could go 80s for awhile... but no soda! Mac n Cheese and Collards were the best part of this. My friend wouldnt touch the collards.. is he kidding.. thats what you come for.. done perfectly with small pieces of smoked ham .. yum!! yum.. and that thin somewhat well breaded fried fish was good. They tried giving me a pair of new jeans from their sale out front.. I refused until I was dragged over.. and saw they were hot and white.. but... not my size.. else they'd have got me and I would have bought lol. Who needs the new Q station and their too busy not open for lunch... when we have St Paul open for lunch? It's only once a month though.. so look for the waving girls outside. : ) This link is for the pastors wife.. who thought the beaches out here are all private.... There are great beaches in the Hampton's along Dune Road, and I am happy to point some out.
