But surprisingly as I grew in the Lord, I also find that the ones who don't talk much are shy but I have made many good friends there and have found my place in the Christian community. i love Pastor Aaron and his wife Juliana who is super sweet and they only speak what is actually in the bible. I tried to answer someone who said they had a bad experience and offered to sit with them personally. Don't know if my message went to them. But please try this church As everywhere in life, not everyone is outgoing and bubbly but that's what makes the world go round. Its a fun, uplifting experience. Well worth giving it a second try.

I didn't find them passive-aggressive at all - I found the "New Age" crowd more embodied that. For example, I can cry quietly during the service at Living God. However, at the local yoga places, they didn't want anyone to actually show a living emotion! It was so strange ... Christianity is thought of as repressive, and the yoga crown generally thought of as more "free," psychologically, but in my experience, it's been the opposite. Anyhow /endrant ... There are always so many charitable events, musical shows and other "goings-on" at "the church". If you happen to catch a live music show, the acoustics are phenomenal. If you simply wander in to visit and say hello, take a gander at some of the wall hangings, photos, paintings...etc. Also, just enjoy the vibe....awesome, positive energy in this building. The good news is that they were able to raise enough money to fix the roof and get some other maintenance/upgrades going. Perhaps you'll be interested in becoming a member?

I met all the ministers and ppl who devoted their lives there as to serve others, learn and study Korean Taoism and WON Buddhism. I love everyone I have encountered and not to mentioned their yummy nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I love the mindful eating virtue every morning. It was silent breakfast. We greeted each other with a nod, a bow and a smile. The minsters and staffs are welcoming and friendly! Everything is mindfulness practice. From closing the door gently to peeling the egg. I observed and I learned from them. I have always loved the Korean or Asian culture and foods! After the retreat l, I got inspired to recreate the vegetarian dishes at home. I kept reminding myself to get in touch with nature more and the simplicity of life. I would love to study more of the Buddhism, meditation and more with the ministers and my teacher! The center is Tendai, a Japanese Buddhist school that Zen developed from. Everybody is made welcome at the center. The sangha (community) has been a source of comfort and support to me in times of loss.​​

It is very low-key and welcoming, and the meditations are held in a beautiful converted old barn. Very nice atmosphere and beautiful Japanese-style ritual.
