What a wonderful parsonage in a beautiful spot. I did not attend a service during my visit to the community, so I can't tell much about the church. But I was always taught that a church had nothing to do with the service or even the building - it had everything to do with the people, families and community. By that measure, this was a fantastic place.
I stopped by to support the local community because I looked forward to having a BBQ lunch during the birding season. Everyone I interacted with was nice, kind, cheerful, full of fellowship, and sharing their cooking & care.
Not only were the people sincerely wonderful, but so was the food!! For a great price there was a huge portion of bbq on a sandwich, a bag of chips, serving of beans, superb coleslaw, and a brilliant slice of home made cake made by many of the womens' love of cooking.
If in the area, if this is any indication of the parsonage and the people who join together to put life into it - you will fit right in. If you want a great meal, served by caring people - here's your option.
Oh, pro-tip: bring cash. I meant that re: the food. I guess it works if you attend a service as well!! read more
