The teachers rarely came up to me to tell me what my kid learned today or what he did. Environment Sickness, in 2 month my child got sick four times. That's a record. What do you expect from a place with no air, no sunlight and frequent trips to the outside. The piercing, the earrings, the tattoos and the smoking in front of the kids are all true. And it's too much. Tip: If this was the only daycare you can take your child to, then for the benefit of your child, keep them home with a babysitter. As the school is not only a classroom setting but have individual spaces for free play, a library, room for movies and basically an indoor gym. I like their concept here because if my children need a couple minutes to calm their energy the teachers allow for them to go to a more intimate space to still learn but also gather themselves. When I arrive at the school the owner or teacher at the time is always graceful in how they communicate the day. I do appreciate this very much here at the school. My kids always want to go back. Even out of school and we are close by they mention their school. Oh! They provide detailed reports on your child's progress and future planning for continued success as well. All teachers are hands on. Even if a teacher works with their individual group he/she will step in to assist. Its good to see that because our children are not perfect everyday. Additionally, we had stayed on their email list and had noted many very high tuition increases during the course of the year. This school seems more interested in making profits than in doing what is fair and ethical for the families. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone.

There is no consistency or any age appropriate methods to help guide your child. It's really scary that this place has such a "good reputation". Since we enrolled my daughter at another facility-- literally zero behavioral issues or complaints by the teachers or the daycare director, she's learning about her emotions, she's being guided instead of being labeled. She doesn't require additional learning support because her teacher is an educator who teaches her to manage her behavior and emotions. I know this place was not a right fit for my family-- and that's ok. However, a childcare facility SHOULDN'T ever be allowed to operate this way. As a parent, I have major trust issues after my experience with Hockessin KinderCare because I really hoped they had my child's best interest in mind.
