It has its own swimming pool and huge sports hall with all the latest equipment. A huge sports field which in the summer time the pupils can use at break time. Also has its own car park although its only for about 10/15 cars so you generally overflow into the car park of the shops next to the school. Its set on the same grounds as the junior school although they are actually seperate schools. The headteacher, Mrs Cosgrow is very approachable and they publish a weekly newsletter online so its easy to keep up to date with the events etc.

At that time she was quite timid, withdrawn, wary of strangers and wasn't speaking at all - she didn't even say Mummy and Daddy. Within a few months we noticed a huge increase in my daughter's confidence and a year on her vocabulary is incredible. The staff are wonderful - they genuinely care about the children they are teaching and develop relationships with them as individuals. The activities are varied and designed to give children a view into the big, wide world as well as preparing them for school. The children are involved in activities such as cooking, music, yoga and outdoor play in addition to having 1:1 time to learn, colours, numbers, counting, writing and so on. Okay, it's one of the more expensive pre-school options in Southend and the Nursery Education Grant, when this kicks in the term after a child's third birthday, only covers half of the fee, but having investigated a huge number of pre-schools, I feel confident that I made the right choice.
