After a long day of walking, my dawgs appreciated the break while sitting down. After walking from the Charging Bull, we got to the ferry terminal quickly even in the rain. Pretty easy to figure out, I googled and found ferry runs about every 30 mins so we got some food while we were waiting. Go during golden hour aka sunset!!!! We boarded on around 7pm and enjoyed the city views. You have to deboard and then can get back on. We immediately boarded and I noticed the beautiful sunset in the horizon. I'd reccomended getting seats so you can get a nice view of the Statue of Liberty on the way back. Simply gorgeous with the sunset.

The ferry is about 20 minutes! If you're leaving from lower Manhattan, you'll wanna be on the right side to see the statue of liberty. You'll get a nice view!! You dont get off and actually get to see..for that you'll need to see the purple jackets. You'll get off in Staten Island.. you'll have reenter and wait for ferry to take you back to Manhattan . . Do not get distracted by people who look like they work for the terminal authority they are just trying to lock you in on a paid tour to Statue of Liberty. So just stay focus, and get in line for the free ride to Staten Island. Also don't panic these ferry boats are insanely big so you will find a spot to get the views you want. If you leave from NYC stick to the right side and go upstairs for the best photos. Once you've made it to Staten Island without any wait, you get off and roll back into another boat (SI To Manhattan) and do it all over again. If you still want to see the Liberty statue leaving from Staten Island, stick to the left. From Manhattan to SI stick to the right and try to get on the second floor. If you want to explore what's around the area a short walk will take you to Wall Street, you'll see the bull and Trinity Church (where Hamilton and Eliza and Philip are buried). Also with going inside the church even with their very strict security check -- we had to even take Apple Watches which was a first but I'm all about safety so whatever they ask, I'll gladly do it. So if near Wall Street make Trinity Church a stop just like that silly snatching bull! ;)

The views are nice, the ferries leave on time, and it's free. Hard not to like this place, even with the obvious issues.

She was not engaging, seemed tired, told us of all her physical ailments as part of the tour and paused awkwardly and often during her narration. The stories were delivered in the manner of a 7th grader giving an oral report in history class. The police even rolled up at one point as we were standing in front of someone's house and our guide just turned around and walked off in the middle of what she was saying. Ghost tours are basically just entertainment with well told stories given out in spooky locations and this was none of those.

We started off at the Washington Square Arch then ventured off the neighborhood. I saw whet Mark Twain used to live and ghost from the past always make an apparition. I never see any ghost from all the tours I've done but hearing the stories about it makes me excited. New York has a lot of history, this is just one tour and there are som much more neighborhood to visit. I'd definitely do another tour from this company for another neighborhood.

And that's what makes America great. You can still protest (yes, the #Occupy folks were sitting on the steps of Federal Hall), but you can also be a plain old boring sightseer. When I was here last, there was a massive American flag draped over the front of the New York Stock Exchange. This time, it's just a very imposing and very boring building. Don't forget to walk down Broadway to the Charging Bull, which is still at least a little accessible for taking pictures like a tourist! It used to be possible to rub his "boy parts" which is supposed to give you good financial luck, but they've blocked that off. *sad face*
