Alright, so I'm probably one of the few people writing a Yelp review for a church, but here goes…read morenothing! I've been attending Radiant Church since January 2023, and it's become such a big part of my life that I almost forgot to share how awesome it is. From day one, everyone was genuinely welcoming. Josh sat with me on my first visit and introduced me to a bunch of folks--it felt like I'd known them forever. Pastor Jason is fantastic--down-to-earth and genuinely cares about each person. He even took the time to meet with me one-on-one when I was new. Outside of Sundays, there's always something happening: dinner meet-ups, spontaneous hangouts, gaming on Discord, and sports. I recently got into golf and found fellow golfers here. Plus, I help run a casual flag football group on Saturdays--it's a blast! My wife and I love Syracuse and decided to make it our forever home, with Radiant being a big part of that decision. Honestly, it's more than just a church; it's a community that's brought so much joy into my life. So yeah, maybe it's a bit odd to Yelp about a church, but when something's this good, I can't help but share.

I think I might be inspired by the Immaculate Conception, and might try and do a conception of my own in here, because it's so damn beautiful. I love Cathedrals anyway and I love old European style religious buildings, and this is one of the best I've seen in New York state. It's truly one of the most remarkable and spectacular things in Syracuse.

It has a large orange red brick tower, and looks kind of old and kind of European. I really like it. It's not quite as haunting as the old triangular stone one down the road, but it's very cool if you like visiting churches. Not to be confused with Chvrches, who share a mother with you apparently.

As a single, childless adult, I was welcome but not included in the social lives of church members outside of church activities. While the church promoted inclusivity, the social dynamics seemed to favor those who fit a certain mold--married, with children or grandchildren. Being both childless and unmarried was not the norm, and the response wasn't outright rejection, but rather a kind of quiet exclusion.

The food pantry was recommended by an acquaintance recently as my husband and I have fallen on some…read moredifficult times. This morning on the way there, we ran out of fuel on the highway about a mile from the church. We walked the rest of the way. Everyone was friendly from the minute we walked up. We got signed in easily and went through the line to collect what seemed like a LOT of food of which we are thankful. When we were finished, a nice woman approached us asking if we were the couple who had run out of fuel. She had a gas can with fuel in it, her trunk open to load our food and gave us a ride to our car. Ms. Gwen, a lead pastor and who I now realize is a co-founder of the church itself went out of her way this morning and made what seemed like the worst morning, a whole lot better. We have been searching for a church such as this. The message "come as you are" is the atmosphere I prefer. Thank you,GWEN, for all of your generosity and assistance this morning! The music was amazing. The choir leader actually sings on key and the selection of music happy, old time, and updated. One little girl danced in her seat. The pastor was easy to hear and her message relevant, interesting, and thoughtful. It's a great little church. About 3 dozen people were there.
