I had just enough time to breeze through the motorcycles and get a cursory look around They have some cool demos and artifacts - and old Harley-Davidson truck, and a restored H-D motorcycle from World War II. HORRIBLE PEOPLE I rented a bike from them online and they took my money. When I went to pickup my rental I found out that they not only don't have any bikes to rent, but they knew in advance that they could not do it. So they are taking peoples money and when they show up they try to get them to accept an excuse? It turns out that they never processed the paperwork for their rental bikes and were charging customers credit cards anyway. I call that fraud! I will NEVER stop in this dealer again I did have to drive 45 minutes north to another dealer to rent a bike for the day and I lost over two hours due to these terrible people. read more

I stopped in yesterday (10/30/19) since I was in the area. They have a great clothing selection and an amazing bike selection. Julian (sales) approached me and I immediately let him know that I'm from out of town and not buying. (Didn't want to waste his time or take him away from prospective customers) However, he decided to spend some time with me, answering any questions I had about new features on bikes and more. He clearly cares about their business and his customers. He wasn't pushy or trying to get me to purchase anything. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. I went to this store looking for tires for a V-rod, the sales person looks like he didn't want to work or talk to me. Was not very friendly, professional or knowledgeable and I have to direct him to what I was looking for. I was happy that when I went to get my tires installed I didn't have to deal with this person. All great and good price. Went back for an oil change and a screw that come out during or after the tires work; The sales person was friendly but I asked if they could check the motorcycle fluids and he assumed that I knew that I would have to pay $22 just to tell me yes your brake and radiator fluids are good. And the missing screw that they fixed and charged me for, is lost again. I was not happy at all, I hope I don't have to go there again. read more

I called the parts department and spoke with Melaina regarding 2 specific pilot jets for Mikuni carb. I indicated a 45 and needed 50. She said yes we have lots of them. I asked how much and she replied a couple bucks. I drove a long way in from WI. to St. Paul and Melaina was at the parts counter. I presented a 35 Mikuni pilot jet as reference and she went to parts to get my jets. 10 minutes later she returned with a Kehin carb kit and no Mikuni parts. She said this should do. I told her that the parts will not work and are not the same. She said what kind of motorcycle. I told her a Yamaha road star. She looked at me with a questioned look and says yah? This went on and she clearly had no idea what in the world she was doing there. She did not apologize for the inconvenience etc. Indicated that I was in the wrong for coming to a Harley dealer. I later called the parts manager who indicated that they do carry Mikuni parts and could order the jets. People were going in and out of there without PPE. buying clothing and anything else. One guy was over the shoulder of the parts guy looking up seat options in a catalog etc. Stay clear of here ! Riding your bike in the spring without a helmet is safer! read more

This location of Harley Davidson is very aggressive I was sick throwing up till 4 o'clock in the afternoon Monday the 24th the day that I was supposed to go to the motorcycle class I called before he even started the number that called me saying if I had any questions or concerns call this number called it saying I couldn't come in because I was sick and what can I do about it because I was sick and not saying anywhere in the cancellation policy about being sick I didn't get no call back call them next day. They said they can't do nothing for me even though I didn't say nothing in the policy about being sick then. The lady I was talking to said the manager of the class will contact you in a couple days. He contacted me on Wednesday the 26th an came off very aggressive and saying that we can't help you out. You got an email with our cancellation policies you filled out and read all the cancellation policies when you purchased the class event I didn't get no email on the cancellation policy. it says nowhere on there about being sick, so I asked him if he's not going to help me out either with putting me into the next eight class event or just give me my refund he said they were no refunds and I said I was gonna bring this to the BBB the Better Business Bureau after I said that he got more aggressive towards me and said I am banned for life and she told me that I'll get my refund, but I have not received anything they will steal your money. They will be really aggressive, and they are very biased. I thought Harley Davidson was good up until now. They are a no good place to go to for getting your bike permit or anything look up all the reviews and see how horrible this location is because of their management and them not giving a crap about their consumers. read more

I've been on the hunt for a pair of dark-colored, rugged, city boots and I haven't had a lot of luck. Brands like Kenneth Cole and Frye make a boot that looks good but they don't look like they'll hold up to what I will put them through (for the price anyway). I thought I would give the Harley folks a shot and this is the only Harley store in my neighborhood so I stopped in. It seems like I was looking for a Harley boot but I didn't want to admit it to myself. I guess it comes as no surprise that they don't have a wide array of styles but what they have is well built. I was looking for a pair of under-stated black or gray boots with a buckle and a rounded toe. I found what I was looking for in their engineer boot in a distressed gray. They sport a totally understated brand (not covered in garish Harley insignias) with 1 buckle on the outside. They're built solid and the price was fair at $150. I wore them that night and I got my first compliment at dinner. My gal's friend asked me if they were from Frye! Score! They have a nice tread for winter without being chunky. The only question is how will they hold up over time. read more

After reading the reviews, it's hard to find one where five stars shouldn't have been given. There was the one star for rental, but at least they tried to accommodate the renter. I went to several Harley dealers before stepping into St Paul HD. Not only was I greeted pleasantly but I wasn't pressured to look at a specific bike, or anything for that matter. However, when it was time to speak to sales, they knew, and someone was there exactly when I needed. Dylan was the sales rep and he was the most courteous and respectful individual I could've had the pleasure of dealing with. I've spent 20 years in the military and another 20, so far, with the Fed Gov, and I can pick out someone who's ingenuine right off the bat. That wasn't the case with Dylan, or anyone else for that matter. They had the bike I was looking for and financing went much smoother than that at any dealership for which I've purchased other bikes, but this is my first HD. I couldn't be happier; I had no buyer's remorse; in fact, I couldn't keep my rear end off the bike. I rode as much as possible over the past week and can say that, by far, it is above and beyond anything I would've anticipated. This, along with the great team at St Paul HD, from sales to service, parts to finance, it was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. There will not be another dealer that gets my business and this is from someone who's been riding for 52 years. Every time I have taken it there for service they have not got it back to me in two days like they have promised. I made an appointment a week ahead of time. I bought my first Harley from this dealership in 2007 and it was a pretty good experience however, my last two experiences with the dealership have been soured. I went to test drive a motorcycle with my girlfriend that we were interested in. The salesman completely ignored her the entire time we were there. The second bad experience was at the Minnesota State Fair. They had a motorcycle on rollers for people to try. I asked the guy if my girlfriend could ride it, after all it is there to get new riders into the brand and excited to buy a bike from them. You would think they would want her to try it. He asked me what she was drinking. I told him root beer. He basically called me a lair and said she was drinking beer and she couldn't ride. I proved to him it was root beer and asked again. He said, "How old is she?" "22", I said. Then he said she had to be 23 to ride which is the biggest amount of B.S. I have ever heard. 23 to ride a bike that is tied down on a roller? This after I saw other people who looked just as young riding it. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing anything from this dealer ever again, period. read more

If you want to buy clothes, they are okay to fairly expensive. So you might be okay. HOWEVER, if you need your bike serviced... stay away from this place! I had to have a new motor installed on our last trip to Sturgis. It all went well and I took my bike here to get the new motor checked over and tweeked. They insisted that I needed to put on an "upgrade" to the bike. It was to take three (3) days. After two (2) weeks of getting the run-around, I was told the bike was ready. Went to pick it up, and had to wait 3-hours because they were still putting it back together. After waiting until 10-minutes before they closed and then paying over $1,200 I was given my bike back. I rode it for just a few minutes and it had no power. Went back and they had closed. Took it back the next morning, told them the problem and left them with the bike. Long story short (ha ha), THEY KEPT IT ANOTHER WEEK AND I FOUND OUT THEY HAD INSTALLED THE WRONG PARTS (SENSOR AND ECU) ON MY BIKE! They had no idea, I found it and told them. Got it all un-done and them the money was an issue. They wanted to keep the fees for parts and labor for messing up the bike. They are crooks, so DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! read more

Worst service I've ever gotten from a business. Brought it in for a gas and an oil leak. They said it might be anywhere from $350 to $750. They didn't honor the first appointment I made. It took them almost a week just to figure out what was wrong. Then they had to specialty order a part, it would take another week. I told them to overnight it. Three days later I go in to pick up the bike, it wasn't finished. The tech that was working on the bike had a "motorcycle emergency" whatever that means, and got taken off of my project. They said that mechanic had the next 2 days off and wouldn't get to my bike until Monday. They had my bike for almost 2 weeks, and how much did it cost? $1687! But they took too long so they gave me a discount and signed me up for their MVP program. How much did I save? $72. Yeah, thanks for the great discount. Two weeks later my bike dies going down the freeway. I can see gas in the tank, and my odometer was far lower than a normal tank gets me. I have them bring it back in, what do they tell me, "You ran out of gas." After I nearly scream at the guy that there is something wrong with the bike, they refuse to service it, never admitting they did anything wrong. I'm never coming back to this place again.
