There is no way I could have asked for a better experience for my daughter for a Pre-School!

At the co-op, everyone pitches in, there is plenty of opportunity to get to know the other families and the teachers. It's a great community of folks. My daughter has learned so much beyond just the basics at the co-op. She LOVES going to school. There are many extra field trip and community service opportunities associated with the pre-school as well.

There were a few good teachers, but many teachers would leave the school after a few years due to the low salaries they received. Extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, band are unorganized, and given little care from the administrators. Many of the students were very unhappy with their education. I thought it was because we did not want to go to school, but when I went to a new school, I realized that there was an unhealthy amount of hatred towards school by nearly every student at Elyria Community.

75 dollars/hour and upwards of 45 hours is what this place wants you to spend (Over $3500 when all…read moreis said and done) in a high pressured sales-like atmosphere. They make feel like if you don't pay the money, then you don't care about your child. We completed most of the program with Huntington Learning Center for ACT, and my child did not increase 1 point. In fact, my child went down 1 point from the initial testing. My child liked the teacher the worked with, but all other staff at the center seemed to be fake. Moreover, all the truly seem to care about is getting your money. Speaking of money, I'm not sure where the money goes. The facility looks old and rundown, including the learning areas and powder room. Overall, my child LOST all confidence in their abilities. It took a private tutor to correct the damage. Luckily, my child ended up increasing 5 points with a private tutor, which is more than the "3-4 point average increase" Huntington assured me my child would get. I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere for your ACT needs. My child had a very bad experience at a center that seems to be run by people who only care about your money, and not your child. Beware of all the money you will waste at this learning center.

My daughter started the program in January with D's and F's and by the end of the school year she was getting A's, B's and C's. Lastly, they were very accommodating to schedule changes. Primrose has very high standards for their teachers, which we appreciate. We also like the philosophy of balanced learning, and a structured daily schedule. We're confident our daughter will be well prepared for kindergarten thanks to the learning plans and environment Primrose creates. Additionally, the building and classrooms are very clean (I toured other places that were not as impressive). We also love that Primrose provides lunch and snacks! Not having to prepare food in the morning or night before is a fantastic perk.

My 20 month old was kicked out for biting within 5 weeks of her first bite here (after 3+ mo with…read moreno incidents after she started there). We did not get the state required incident reports when it allegedly happened. They assured us they were working with her but I can't see how that was true - or maybe it was just incompetence. I walked in on a Tuesday to pick her up and was told it was her last day despite being told we would get "as much time as we needed" for notice to find somewhere else if it got to that point. They couldn't even tell us to our faces what they were doing. She almost immediately stopped biting upon starting at another local school. This place has a fair amount of turnover in staff, many of whom have minimal experience in child care relative to the other comparable local schools. I have a lot of other things I could say about this place but simply put - I don't recommend it.
