However, what makes a church isn't the full calander, yummy dinners or an effective homeless ministry, it's the people! I feel very welcome when I am there and missed when I am gone. They are caring, thoughtful and not perfect, which is something I can relate to. I have made this place my home church and would recommend this church to anyone looking for a loving church family. But God had led me to this church so I went. Immediately, my family was blessed by excellent Biblical teaching from Sunday School/Sunday Service and examples of authentic Christianity where people really love and take care of others. There are many volunteers who serve: in Sunday School teaching where I learn something new every week (even after 34 years of church!), in the Nursery to help share the responsibility, at a truly amazing youth center, talented musicians on the worship team, and in outreach, like the Beach Bucket, Homeland Disciples, and PIN ministry on-site. There is so much being done from this place, it is truly amazing. Even if we have to move, we will come back to Beach regularly, as it has become a home to us and part of our family. We need you too! Come to Sunday School at 10 am Sundays and service at 11 and hear what God is saying to His church. Share a hug, pray with a stranger and make a new friend! God is moving and His blessings abound!

Kim at Guest Services didn't just say hi, but pointed out where the bathroom was-and as small as a gesture that was, that could be a catalyst as to why someone avoids attending in person church (the whole "I don't know where to park...I don't know anyone...what if I have to go to the bathroom...") is real. While we sat in the sanctuary, Glenda was eager to stop, say hello, and chat. These small, benign gestures make all the difference. Even after service, Glenda found us again to introduce us to her husband. My husband, daughter and I felt the sincerity from her. Did I forget to mention the coffee and tea bar? Steaming coffee was available with an array of creamers was on hand and date I say it? It was HEAVENLY (pun intended) Haha! Well done, Grace Church! Well done!

Great kids programs from nursery age all the way through highschool. They present God to them on their level. For the adults the service is always on point! Music is awesome. The messages always get me too. Now I'm not talking about fire and brimstone preaching at me but somehow every single week as I'm sitting there learning some awesome principle or pointer to apply to my life there will be some little thing that is a zinger and I'm like oh ok I felt that! Confessions are also offered regularly, which is a necessity for me. The interior of the Church is beautiful and the music is always lovely, and well practiced, traditional hymns. I especially enjoy listening to the reflective, contemplative song that the choir performs after everyone receives the Eucharist -- it's always beautiful.

They are no longer Baptist; it's just Grove Church, to reach the masses. And that they have, with strong ties to the community. They're always involved in outreach, offering shelter, meals, and clothing to the homeless as somewhat of a shut-in for a week during the winter. They have partnerships with Bon Secours to provide free health services twice a month called Care-a-van. There's a school -- a Christian Academy. A homebuyer's program. Various ministries for everyone, especially the youth. God is at Grove. You should be too.
