This is the store that is down the road from my home and that I visit most often. My daughter and I were just in here again recently on a day of thrift shopping around the city. I'm in here often enough that the workers know me on sight. It's much smaller than the Este Ave. store. But it did expand in the last year. The clothing is not as organized as the Este Ave. store and the aisles are so close together that it's difficult to even look at the clothes. For that reason I usually skip that area. But we do check out the books, housewares and holiday areas. The staff at this store is so friendly! All of the workers are really nice and helpful. read more

The staff at this store are always friendly and very welcoming. I also use to go to the larger thrift store right next to them 2 for 1. But it seems they lost the idea that they actually are a thrift store. St. Vincent is for the people not the profit. And that's what a lot of us are in need of I commend St. Vincent's for never losing sight of that. read more

This place is really small and it takes some looking through, but you can find stuff for cheap. I walked away with a brand new Cuisinart ice cream maker for $5! And I do intend to haul it back to DC with me. I also saw a new mini slow cooker for $5 which I was also contemplating, but decided I didn't need. Some other lady took the lid and used it for the lid for her blender...sucks. The stuff here varies in quality and the place made my nose itch. It's not the best organized place and you really have to look, what with most of the stuff being questionable in quality. However, the prices really can't be beat and certain stickers also are a certain percentage off. I forgot that I also bought a brown clutch that was originally priced $3.50 and was 50% off. read more

Great store and prices! Quality goods. Friendly staff at Evendale/Reading location. Less friendly at Este Rd. location. I like how the money goes to help people in the Cincinnati community. I like how many things are 1/2 off. Should post calendar online (like Goodwill) with what sales are happening for the month. read more

Loved this thrift store! Prices were reasonable and very similar to Goodwill prices (except for higher prices on shoes and coats and jackets, which were individually priced). I found great shoe deals still and bought several. They had a decent mix of modern and vintage clothing. Clean and mostly easy to move about. This place is like Valley Thrifts ugly stepsister. It's literally located in the mini mall complex next door to Valley Thrift. People (illegally) park in the lot here and walk over to Valley Thrift when their lot is full. You can tell because of the well worn path through the grass between the two locations. Anyhoo, I've stopped in here on several occasions, usually when I've made a trip to Valley Thrift. I mean, why not hit up both if you're in the area? Their selection is smaller, but they are operating in a space that is a fraction of the size of their super-sized neighbor. I've also felt like their prices are a bit weird. Clothing is priced, generally, by the color of the plastic tag, which at first is confusing. Sometimes you'll find something that is an incredible deal. Sold! Other times you'll find something and think, 'They want what?' Gingerly putting it back. It's somewhat organized, which is nice. Also the staff is hit and miss. It's not that their mean or anything, but they all seem like they're having a bad day/life. read more

I was so excited as a first time customer and I had a lot of questions regarding the specials for that day. I was ignored completely and stood politely until the employee behind the counter finally acknowledged me. I was prepared to stand all day. When she finally spoke to me the interaction was fine only because I treated her with respect and let it go. As I was scoping out the store she called me over and said there is another person who looked just like me in the store. The inference was all old white women looked alike. I was very dissapointed in the way I was treated. On the other hand it was so much fun looking for all the goodies in the store. I will go back but watch out for the rude associate. She needs counseling since this is a Christian based company.. people on a limited income need this store and it is a service to the community. Thanks . read more

I always enjoyed going to this Thrift Store I donated often and shopped weekly as I like to refinish furniture etc.... One customer service associate I came to avoid because she was nasty, never smiled, and usually didn't apply the daily sale discounts. Today after a final encounter with her I have decided not to return after year of business. There were 2 wood chairs I carried in from outside I asked if I could set them near the register while I shopped as they would not fit in my cart. She told me no she would not hold them. I wasn't asking to hold the items I wanted to buy them but she refused. I am drawing the line I will no longer shop or donate at this location any longer. read more

I absolutely love this thrift store! Evendale is by my home and their Western Hills store is the bomb.com. I found a much friendlier workers at these stores than in any other (BOO! Evendale Valley Thrift [right next door] for not letting me bring in a water bottle, while I shopped on a 98° day & BOO! Fairfield Goodwill managers, at jewelry counter, Who choose to ignore their customers and when approached for assistance, offer only a literal 'talk to the hand.'). I shopped Evendale's store the evening of March 1st, and found the staff quite friendly and helpful. You must present your five dollar off (of a $15 or more purchase) reach magazine coupon BEFORE they ring you up, then you're golden. I was able to leave them a message after close of business today as I'm certain I lost a sterling silver earring in their shop. I guarantee they will call me tomorrow morning--they are just that good. I don't even give the thrift shop next-door the time of day anymore. This SVD store is compact and sometimes looks cluttered but has recently been re-organized and cleaned. If you're claustrophobic, just don't come here; more deals for me! I live close to another SVP store and love going to it, however when I saw this one, I was excited to shop at another, but WOW, it was horrible. The most disorganized shop I have ever been in, and the staff did not even acknowledge us, I would highly recommend going next door to Valley Thrift and forget this place. read more

This place is fantastic. I visit here every time I'm in Mason. You have the pull of a good treasure hunt (not always the best organized place) and so much stuff you're bound to find something great! The prices are fantastic and they often have sales (a certain sticker color a % off, etc). They have a great selection of fashion scarves, shoes, and books among other things. I found an unworn pair of cowboy boots for $5, and Janet Evanovich books for .50 cents. I always come away with a deal here, and it's so big (I believe they expanded since the last review). Highly recommend a visit! read more
