We attended their free corn maze and fun fall events today. They are hosting these free events…read moreevery Saturday for the next 3 weeks from 11-4. The volunteers are extremely friendly and happy to help out with taking pics or helping kids with the fun fall activities including corn maze, fun photo ops, corn target practice, huge tricycle bikes, water station, etc. We had a blast on a beautiful Saturday to get us in the mood for autumn!

Whether you show up in a suit or a Hawaiian shirt (which many do because they're just so happy to be there!), you are treated like family from the moment you pull into the newly updated, easy-access parking lot. The service is a beautiful blend of contemporary worship and classic hymns, and we even get the treat of hearing original praise songs composed by Pastor John. His sermons are the highlight; he preaches directly from the Bible with heart and clarity. For parents, the peace of mind here is unmatched. Not only is there a fantastic playground the church built for the town, but every single Sunday School and nursery worker is CPR certified. It shows how much they truly value our children's safety. If you want to move beyond Sunday morning, their Growth Groups are where life happens. They are small groups focused on helping each other grow spiritually and navigate life's struggles together. Between the volunteer hours they put into the community soccer fields and the sincere love inside the building, this church is the heartbeat of New Prague.

While I am not a member of this church, I have visited 4 or 5 times over the past year, and each time, I have come away with the following views of this community: 1) They're all about the person, Jesus Christ. He lived and He died and He rose again - for all of us. 2) They're going to love on you. People are genuinely welcoming, and not in a superficial way. 3) The teaching is powerful, intellectually challenging, and thoroughly Bible-centric. They have countless opportunities to serve the city, serve the church, and serve globally. Their worship centers around hymns composed/arranged within modern/contemporary music styles. They're recording a worship album now. I cannot recommend this church highly enough. Check it out.

Sermons are interesting and dare i say it, entertaining even. The members seem engaged and there are activities and groups available for kids and adults. My kids love the programs that are available and the staff communicates well with all of us. they provide daycare, and they serve donuts and coffee with a free will donation. its a brand new building with everything we need including a gym area. *Edit* I also forgot to mention that all child volunteers receive a background check and have to attend a class before being allowed to help. http://www.crossviewcovenant.org/

Friendship Church has been by home church for the past 5 years and I am so grateful for a community…read moreof believers like this. Warm welcomes and hugs are a very common occurrence here. The pastors teach the word and give very solid applications to daily life. Some of their strongest ministries are to those in the community that need hope the most struggling with addiction, conflict and care. This church represents Jesus well to the Shakopee community and I love it here! I serve in the youth ministry and it is amazing to see God work in the lives of students, they really care for the whole family!
