Capt (promoted to Major for the photo) wore the Cav boots he'd literally just bought at Maryland Sutler. Otherwise they have tons of different outfits so you can become almost anything. It was my idea to go with the empty chair to honor our son Nicholas (1995-2014), also a reenactor. The owner was more than willing to accommodate any remembrance we wanted to place there. We also wore the little memorial ribbons friends made for his funeral (we all dressed period correct for it & the visitation). Watching the plate develop at the end was such a unique experience. We've had photos done over the years but this was the best one. Sooo glad we did this here.

A small shop in the tourist region of Gettysburg it blessedly does not sell tacky shot glasses and…read moret-shirts but it does provide a far better reminder of your trip. If you're of a certain age you can remember getting old fashioned photos done and then having to wait around while it developed. In the 21st century Servant's is digital and the picture is done by the time you've changed your clothes. The staff is friendly and the cost more than fair. If I were going to offer a suggestion to make it better, I'd say have men's clothes that are not civil war uniforms. but otherwise. it is lots of fun and worth the visit.

Mary Sarah is a talented photographer with an AMAZING eye! She notices everything: phone in my…read morehusband's pocket, hair tie on my wrist, etc.. She pays attention to detail and that is MAJOR when it comes to pictures! She even noticed that the park we were shooting at had changed their rules last minute and brought us up to speed on that. We hiked a mountain and crossed a creek to take our pictures and Mary Sarah didn't miss a beat! Did I mention that it was all done IN THE RAIN? Her dedication is immeasurable. During our last shoot, Mary sarah had a bug in her eye and she didn't let that stop her. I don't know about you, but anyone who is willing to continue working with a bug in their eye is alright with me! In a nutshell, Mary Sarah has a great personality and does spectacular work.
