If you're prone to egg ick this place will definitely give it to you. The bacon also wasn't great but the pancakes were good.

Out of the ashes rises a phoenix! Perkins, the restaurant which formerly occupied this building, had been closed during the covid lockdowns, and I'm not sure if it ever reopened. The, suddenly, the signs for Stacks were on the building in October, and we finally got a chance to try it out. We stopped in Stacks the other day for breakfast and the experience was superb. We were greeted promptly and seated just as quickly. Social distancing is being observed in the dining area with deliberate gaps between seated tables. And the place was very clean. Stacks has their own menu, and it's pretty extensive for a breakfast joint. I got a Stacks Loaded Wrap which was a combination of peppers, tomatoes, onions, grilled cubed ham, mushrooms, American cheese, and omelet-style eggs in a tortilla wrap. When it was served, it was rolled neatly & tightly and sliced in half so that you could see the delicious contents peeking out. It was piping hot, fresh tasting, and just soooooo good! I got breakfast potatoes, which were small browned cubes of potato-ey goodness. Hubby got a Country Style Benedict - toasted English Muffin, topped with 2 basted eggs, grilled sausage patties topped with country gravy. He opted for hash browns on the side. It came out beautifully plated like mine did. At one point mid-meal, I was going to dip my fork into the sausage gravy to see how it was, but I was too late: apparently it was so good, my husband consumed all of that before finishing the 2nd english muffin half holding the 2nd basted egg. When he had finished the meal, his plate was completely empty. His meal was equally delicious. Service was perfect. The server arrived at the table promptly after we were seated to take a beverage order. He returned soon thereafter with the drinks and to take the order. He checked on us several times through the meal, and always made sure our drinks were full and that we were happy. I could not have asked for a better server. Overall, I would give this a 9 out of 10, deducting 1 point because I did not see the hours posted on the door on the way out. This was important to me because I was already planning my next visit as I left. It was that good! read more

Our waitress was friendly and attentive but my steak and eggs was not good. The steak was nuggets of grizzle. The waitress apologized and the manager just took $7 off my meal without an apology. The "steak" turned my so much that I could not finish the rest on my eggs and potatoes. read more

So much delicious breakfast food! When they say stacks, that's just what they mean... I looked at the menu before I went but I didn't quite realize just how much food we were going to be getting. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. We have been here a few times at this point, and the last time it definitely seemed like they word had gotten out, lol but it was also the weekend, so e had to wait a bit, but not too long and it's definitely worth the wait. I've had their steak tips and eggs, pancakes, fruit, a few different omelettes, breakfast potaotes, everything is always fresh, filling and delicious, even when ordering take out or even delivery it's fast and fresh. I'm very happy to welcome Stacks to the area, I will most certainly do my part to keep them around! read more

Went here on a Saturday morning.. the wait wasn't too bad but the food was terrible. We ordered the pancakes and a southwest omelette. The pancakes had a weird taste to them and the texture was off and the omelette was messy and so so bland! Service was good and prompt... maybe to a fault. read more

Great cheap food, especially when compared to Portland. I got the meat lovers combo which came with a plate load of eggs, hashbrowns, sausages, bacon, and 2 pancakes for I think 10 or 13$. In Portland, Oregon, this meal would easily cost 25$ or more. read more

Went here for the first time today. Very disappointed. I had the steak tips, two eggs over easy, hash browns and rye toast. The only thing edible were the eggs and the toast. The hash browns tasted like the oil they were cooked in and the steak tips were tough and I could not eat them. My daughter had chicken and waffles. The waffle was ok, and the chicken was dry, However, our waitress was great! Definitely not going back. Do not recommend to anyone. read more

We had such an amazing waiter and the food was excellent! Our waiter (Drew?) was so kind and anticipated needs. I can't remember ever having such a nice server! This was my first time at the restaurant and I can honestly say I was impressed by the staff and management. We were greeted by a friendly young lady who took our name and advised us of the wait time. It was a busy Saturday morning and I can say they were appropriately staffed both front of the house and back because that is the only way for them to turn the tables around so quickly. Our server, Tim, was a very nice young man who easily answered our questions about items on the menu and wasted no time taking our order without making us feel rushed. He updated us as to when our food would be coming out of the kitchen and checked on us a couple of times after we got our meal. The staff was very good at helping their team mate wrangle the cutest group of rambunctious little boys who were there with their parents. The kids were playing in a sports tournament in the area and came in for breakfast with their parents. A lot of staff went over and chatted with the kids briefly about their game and just interacted with them to help keep them occupied. It's nice to see that team spirit from employees in the midst of a little chaos. Kudos to this team for making our first experience one that will keep us coming back. read more

This place has the best customer service I have ever experienced, they are on point with everything, even if the waiter wasn't appointed to you , any other waiter including the owner would help you with no problem or attitude, super friendly staff and home feeling, the food is AMAZING!!! First time here, and I had a nice breakfast with my stepson. We both had the Farmers Omelette (mine without the peppers, and cheddar cheese instead of American cheese), it was very delicious and the ingredients tasted fresh. I recommend getting the breakfast potatoes (they were nice and crispy, my favorite!) and the pancakes (so light and fluffy!) which are options that come along with the omelet. The service was also outstanding (the lovely waitress came by our table multiple times to check on us). We'll be making this place our new go-to place. And when family comes into town, we'll definitely be bringing them here for breakfast read more

This spot used to be a Perkins Pancake House. They used to ok/good, service was always an issue and I had to avoid certain waitresses. First it closed because of COVid, then reopened under this name. What was once a passable chain restaurant has turned into what I must say is one of the very worst meals of my life. They use cheap horrible tasting margarine instead of butter. They substitute a generic ketchup for Heinz. The "homemade" potatoes are from a microwave and dry. The toast was cheap and tastes like it was 99 cents a loaf. The pancakes were about an inch thick, heavy and completely tasteless. It was a different syrup too, without taste. The menu is basically the same food, but it is now on a cheap paper menu and presented in such a fashion that you have to order a full plate, not the one egg, two egg, three egg format that they used to have. So it has become more expensive. Service was very good at the beginning and then she disappeared and never came back to ask how it was even once. It is still hard to find a place that is open BUT opening this place is a public disservice. I guess the guy who used to be the manager bought it cheap during the pandemic but you can't open a restaurant and serve disgusting food and expect it to endure. McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts are MUCH better choices. Truly as bad as it gets. read more

I hope they bring back the beef stroganoff, it was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Nice family place, staff is really friendl, a great replacement for Perkins. But, the crepes were absolutely terrible. The strawberries were frozen runny strawberries . Just no. Don't get it.(trust this review) I also tried the appetizer trio and it was served with no sauces, dry. Mind you this was while I was still waiting for my sugar for my coffee. So no sugar, no marina sauce for my mozzarella sticks, bbq sauce or honey mustard for my chicken tenders. At this point we were just left to use the ketchup that was on the table as every dipping sauce.
